Chi or straightning serum + straightener?

I have thick hair that's about to my collarbone. It's kind "bulky" and it has a couple waves in it and the ends (its layered) go whichever way they please. I have used a chi before because my best friend has one and i LOVEEE the way it looks on my hair, shiny and pin straight.Should I take the chance and bet for a Chi on ebay or get straightning lotion and a medicore hair straighter?

i think you should get the chi. i have two in my house; one in my sister's room, and one in my own.( i also use the silk shine therapy for protection from the heat.)

I got a chi from ebay. It's retail value is $120 and I got it for $20. It's pink! LOVEEE it! It also came with some silk stuff to protect from the heat. And then I finish off with a bit of Shine Junkie from BED HEAD. I get compliments ALL the time.
