I'm half African-American and Japanese. How can I get my hair straight?

I have long hair that's almost to my hips, thick, and very wavy %26gt;%26lt;. It's hard to keep flat ironing it 2 times a week...

I tried many flat irons that only made my hair stay flat for 2 hour after I'm done straighting it, and it's back to being wavy and curly. I've recently found a flat iron that makes my hair stays straight for a good 4 days, then it starts to become curly again. Someone told me to try a chi flat iron... or get a relaxer. %26lt;.%26lt;

But I won't want my hair to BREAK or become DRY by getting a relaxer!

My moms hair is wavy and cury...she has her stylist wash it then there is a special flat iron that has combs in the inside of it....I forgot wat it was called(something with max in it)...but after that she took a hot comb flattend the roots and my moms hair was straighter than ever...maybe you could try this...

no matter what kind of hair you have, its going to break or get dried out from straightening it. just try to use products like straightening shampoo, spray, etc. to reduce damage, use a heat protectant spray or leave-in conditioner before straightening.

There are straightening gels and butters that help your hair stay flatter longer..thats all I can suggest really.

did you think your curly hair looks ugly for you...? why not you become extraordinary with someone else. nowadays people with curly hair go and iron it. people with straight hair go an curl it. thats human nature. if you your not suitable for your face try to comb different style to look better. dont try to spolied your hair..means keep on iron thats cost your hair break...u able to go and steam your hair. u can get more idea on the people from hair saloon.

I think you should get a relaxer, and then towel dry don't blow dry trust me it works.

well i was in the same situation but relaxers only break off if you dont take care of them belevie me ive been getting a relaxer for 5 years now and still have long hair what i advise you to d o is maybe cut it a little and get 2 relaxers and relax it just rember to wash it every 2 to 3 weeks and oil it 2 times a week also if the hair is not straight enough for you you may wnt to flat iorn it but not 2much and you touch it up but dnt relax it again 4 six months good luck

There is no reason you shouldn't get a relaxer! If you are straightening your hair with a flat iron then you should have no problem with a relaxer. It's the same damage but your hair will be softer and straighter, duh?

Your father must of been black cause your mother would of showed you how to take care of your hair.

Don't get Japanese perm They are the same as regular relaxer but weaker and take a long time to do.
