What is the difference between a CHI straightener and a $50 ceramic straightener?

I don't want to waste so much money on a CHI and im only going to straighten my hair a few times a month...but i dont want my hair to be damaged that much..what do i do?

What is the difference between a CHI straightener and a $50 ceramic straightener?

HUGE............. in the most loving way i can say it, like the old saying goes' You get what you pay for". Do you want to spend alot of money and time for fried hair and split ends, why do think all of your salons and top professionals use them and not the cheap ones, if the cheap ones work don't you think they would buy them and keep the extra profits, the Chi is made not to over heat and burn your hair and you get the fabulous look over and over again, trust me on this one honey don't wast your time or your money on the cheap one you will pay more in the long run with the cheap one and your hair will pay for it in the long run as well, but hey at least you had the courage to ask before you made a mistake, Hope you look Glamours when your done ;] :) :)

What is the difference between a CHI straightener and a $50 ceramic straightener?

CHI's are better. My hair stays straight for like 2 days when I use it. And it hasn't damaged my hair.

What is the difference between a CHI straightener and a $50 ceramic straightener?

get a 50$ 1 thas the 1 i have and i straiten my hair like 2wice or 3 times a week....works fo me

What is the difference between a CHI straightener and a $50 ceramic straightener?

Honey, just purchase the less expensive one. You will enjoy the same results and spend a LOT less...

What is the difference between a CHI straightener and a $50 ceramic straightener?

I have to chi and it is sooooooooooooooo much better than the other cheap ones...(believe me i have tried alot of different ones)

What is the difference between a CHI straightener and a $50 ceramic straightener?

well a chi is kinda all in the name...it is better than most but there are cheaper ones that come close a good one is you will have to go into sally's to see how much it costs

http://www.sallybeauty.com/shop/1650/255...

What is the difference between a CHI straightener and a $50 ceramic straightener?

ok i TOTALLY kno where ur coming from..i HAD that same problem i had those cheap straightners from target and blah blah blah they didnt work that well but oh well but i found out when i went 2 get a hair cut how badly they had damaged my hair and it was VERY noticable...people ask me how i got it that way all the time and uhh it sucks! so they told me 2 buy a chi..chi's dont damage ur hair make it perfectly straight in minutes! and they get hot soo fast! just get the chi..u'll be glad = )

What is the difference between a CHI straightener and a $50 ceramic straightener?

the chi is a brand name and it is also ceramic. the good thing about chi's is that it heats up really quick. other ones that say ceramic are ceramic but can also just be ceramic coated. which is not going to be as good and of course won't last long. it is a good investment in buying a chi straightener because you can also curl your ends out or curl your hair with it as well. you can do a lot with a straightener. just make sure you put some paul mitchell super skinny or redken heat glide on your hair before straightening. it gives it shine and takes out the frizzys and also protects your hair from heat.

What is the difference between a CHI straightener and a $50 ceramic straightener?

As a Stylist, I love using CHI irons and their serum. If you use cheap products in your hair, it's going to look like crap. So please, don't skimp on products for your hair, in the end, it will be all worth it.

CHI Flat iron?

Is it good?

I have medium-length hair and it's thick and curly.

How long is it supposed to take to straighten it?

How many times do you need to go over a small section of hair to make it straight?

CHI Flat iron?

Sedu is a little cheaper.

Chi's do not last long. Don't waste your money, and don't listen to the one's that are telling you it's the best. Sedu is one of the best straighteners out there and it is only $100.

To purcase a Sedu at the cheapest price, go to Folica.com , scroll to the very top and click on Hair Styling. On the left hand side, there will be and A - Z brand list. Find Sedu, click on it, and everything else from there is self - explanitory.

Hope I helped, Merry Christmas!

CHI Flat iron?

Thanks you for picking me as best answerer.

CHI Flat iron?

i have the same type of hair and a chi and it works great! it takes me like 45 min to an hour to do my hair-- but the other i had was a connair and it took me like 2 hrs.

CHI Flat iron?

the chi is awesome works on every thivkness of hair but sometimes if your hairs really thick pull up a section of you hair and straighten the part thats not pulled up then take out the pony tail and straighten that part.

CHI Flat iron?

yes CHI works great especially for curly hair it only takes about 30 sec. to fully heat up.

my mom uses it all the time becasue she has massive curls every other straightner we've tried has not wroked only CHI

so i recommend it :)

CHI Flat iron?

omg i have a chi and im in love of it! my hair is straight but i help my sis and her hair is super curly. it usually only takes a while for it to be straight and dosnt damage your hair that much. what i do it straighten it and then use tigi catwalk camera ready spray. spray it lightly and i swear it works wonders!

CHI Flat iron?

i have the chi flat iron. i bought it for $100.

i really wish id get my money back for it!!!!

but they said No Refunds when i went back.

ok, i have thick and tight puerto rican curls...

1st of all, it takes forever because you have to do one little strand of hair at a time. Its annoying cuz i have so much hair and its so thick...

2nd, it made my hair really straight for like 2 minutes, and then i noticed that it started to divide itself and it started to get wavy... it looked so dry and ugly... it burned my hair!! and when i washed it off, my hair started falling!!

i wouldnt recommend you to get it.

that crap is a waste of money!!!!

CHI Flat iron?

NOOOOOOOOOOO DONT BUY THE chi

CHI Flat iron?

DON'T GET CHI. it will break within 8 months and you have to pay $35 plus shipping to get it fixed.

Chi is being recalled now due to fire hazards. see:

How can i keep my wavy hair perfectly straight in a humid place like florida? what is the best produ

i usually wash...apply treseme' straightening serum...straighten...and drench in hair spray?

(ps-should i buy a chi also?)

How can i keep my wavy hair perfectly straight in a humid place like florida? what is the best product to use?

Braid hair and forget it.

How can i keep my wavy hair perfectly straight in a humid place like florida? what is the best product to use?

yea buy a chi it will help that is what i did!

???best answer???

How can i keep my wavy hair perfectly straight in a humid place like florida? what is the best product to use?

Make sure you get a hairspray that is for humidity. CHI Shine Infusion is a really good product to use it help make it shiny, frizzes and protects your hair from thermal heat from irons and dryers. Here's a tip: wash your hair and fix it at night and the next day believe or not it will help to keep your hair from being frizzy from the humidity. Just a thought, hope it helps.

How can i keep my wavy hair perfectly straight in a humid place like florida? what is the best product to use?

in somewhere like that it is hard to keep your hair straight. it probably wont stay straight no matter what you do so just keep doing what your doing. on extra humid days just curl it then it will look great.

How can i keep my wavy hair perfectly straight in a humid place like florida? what is the best product to use?

Have you tried the John Frieda line? It gets humid here too. I had a chi I did not like it as much as my Sassoon from target that cost me $29.00! JF has shampoo and other great stuff. I love a mix of the spray %26amp; loitaion.

How can i keep my wavy hair perfectly straight in a humid place like florida? what is the best product to use?

First of all, use a shampoo that controls frizziness, like Herbal Essences "None of Your Frizziness" shampoo and conditioner (it works really well). When you straighten your hair, DO NOT drench in hair spray, because it's really bad for your hair (it gets all sticky and it'll make your hair fall out). Spray lightly in different areas (especially top of hair) evenly. I recommend John Frieda Frizz-Ease hairspray or John Frieda Secret Weapon straight hair gel. It makes your hair smooth, shiny, and straight, without making it feel like you have a ton of goop on your head.

How can i keep my wavy hair perfectly straight in a humid place like florida? what is the best product to use?

Paul Mitchell gloss drops.. its what they use in salons and it keeps my hair nice and shiny and soft and not frizzy. and it doesn't get stiff or hard like it does with hairspray.

Sedu straightener or a CHI?

k, for christmas, my mom said that she would buy me a good straightener, and i wanted to make sure that its a good one. i want one that is top of the line, best seller, whatever gets veerrryyy hot, quickly heats up, is very durable, (lasts long) and maybe having a maximum price of 150dollars. I searched up "best hair straightener" and i got SEDU as a "best seller". it's 72 watts, and i think i gets as hot as 180-200 degrees. i dont know about a CHI but my cousin is a hair dresser and she has a CHI and she says its reeaally good, but i was wodnering if theyre is something even BETTER than a CHI, please put in links to websites that you may have looked at to answer this question!! thanks soo much! maybe hairstylists can help me with this too!! thanks a bunch! xox

Sedu straightener or a CHI?

The Sedu 1 1/2 inch is the best seller. It also lasts longer than the CHI, which breaks after about 8 months. The Sedu does cost more, about $120, and the CHI costs around $100. Iv'e used both and think that the Sedu is so much better. It's definitely worth the extra $20 because it won't break easily and it keeps hair very healthy. =)

Sedu straightener or a CHI?

Take my adivce-

DON'T get a CHI.

They suck.

One side stops working after 3 months.

If you don't believe me,

Sedu straightener or a CHI?

DEFINITELY sedu!

Check this out:

http://www.folica.com/Sedu_Ionic_Cera_d1...

^3300+ reviews .. mostly ALL positive. I have a Sedu hair straightener and it heaps up very quickly and straightens my hair so well. It's really good value for money and it's unbeatable in my opinion.

In case you're wondering, here are the reviews on CHI (same website):

http://www.folica.com/CHI_Ceramic_Fla_d6...

^400+ reviews with only a 4/5 rating whereas Sedu has reviewed a 4.5+/5 rating with over 3000 reviews. That says a lot.

Sedu straightener or a CHI?

i have a wet 2 staright.

they're great!

they're cheap,

they work for a long time,

they can straighten your hair even if it's wet

(which i don't recommend trying)

and they have like 30 differnent heating levels.

Which hair straightener should I use?

I have "emoish" hair currently. It's extremely thick, and wavy/curly. I want to buy a 1" straightener that's not too expensive(no CHI plz). And I was thinking between one of these two: Conair Ultra Slim Ceramic($15), or Remington Wet2Straight($25)?

Which hair straightener should I use?

my conair straightener is the best straightener i've used, of all my friends (not that my friends an expensive one like chi or paul mitchel). it's the hottest and the smoothest.

dont get that skinny yellow and black one though. i bought that too, it doesn't get nearly as hot and if you have really thick hair you'll just be waisting your time.

i can't find my model online

http://www.amazon.com/Conair-CS25-Slim-C...

this is basically the same one with different colors.

definately get a ceramic straightner they're hotter and smoother.

try to find one that goes about 350 degrees since your hair is so thick.

Which hair straightener should I use?

Remington Wet2Straight. I love mine! It works really well on my hair which is super, super thick. Conairs suck for thick hair. With the Remington, I can do my hair in about 15 minutes! Plus it heats up very fast. Definatly go for the Remington!

Chi , paul mitchell, or bed head tigi straightner?

okay so i have the wet to straight iron and it works fairly well. but my hair is becoming very unhealthy from all the straightening. which on the straightners would be cost effective and keep my hair partially healthy looking? pleasee help. thank you (:

Chi , paul mitchell, or bed head tigi straightner?

Do NOT get CHI. my family went thru 5 CHI in 3 yrs. Chi breaks within a few months and you have to pay $35 plus shipping to get it fixed.

Chi is being recalled now due to fire hazards. see:

http://www.cpsc.gov/cpscpub/prerel/prhtm...

Yes, CHI sucks!

Chi , paul mitchell, or bed head tigi straightner?

I love my CHI i cannot live with out it and they have a great warranty in case it breaks. The only way not to damage your hair with a straighting iron is to only do it every other day. And your not suppose to wash your hair every day. The ceramic Tiles on the CHI will help smooth out fly aways too.

Chi , paul mitchell, or bed head tigi straightner?

Partially healthy?ummm THE CHI !!!

Chi , paul mitchell, or bed head tigi straightner?

I recommend the CHI.

Chi , paul mitchell, or bed head tigi straightner?

the chi gets really hot and works great but also any straighteners u use will damage ur hair. i think helping ur hair 2 get more healthy its all in the hair products. if u have split ends try using a bit of pomemade on the ends each day. also dont brush ur hair 2 much when its wet it will cause the hair to break. and also when it wet dont rub the water out of it just blot it so more hairs dont break. to rejuvinate your hair use a protein rich conditioner to repair your hair once every 1 to 2 weeks. and to protect your hair from your straighteners heat use the chi "chi guard" hair spray its about 12 dollars but works great. and to keep your hair in place, shiny, and keep it from flipping up in the humidity use kenra platinum silkening gloss about 14 dollars (tip 4 kenra: its a kind of hair serum so dont apply it near ur roots or it will make ur hair lok oily, as goes for every other hair serum!)

Chi , paul mitchell, or bed head tigi straightner?

Solia works great for me. Chi damaged my hair (Chi has no temperature control)

Which in your opinion is better? PHI, FHI, OR THE CHI???

Since the chi is most widely know, here are two websites that give more detail to the lesser known hair straighteners.

Straighted damaged hair.?

i straighten my hair usually every 2 days and sometimes everyday. i use loreal heat protectent too. but now my hairs starting to feel damaged and dry. what can i do to my hair over the summer to make it go back to the soft hair i had.

i heard baby oil, olive oil, aussie 3 minute treatment, dove shampoo work. i have never tried these things so i was wondering if someone can tell me what can i do for my damaged hair.

also is the chi straightener better for your hair then other ceramic ones? and what are other great heat protectant products?

instead of straightening sometimes i think just scrunching it looks nice but it still gets kinda frizz. idk why.

thanks for all the help!

Straighted damaged hair.?

what you need to do right now is read :

THE 10 habits THAT DESTROY AND DAMAGE YOUR HAIR:

1) Alcoholism

2) FIA (flat Iron addiction)

3) Anorexia/Bullimia

4) Smoking Weed

5) Boxed Hair ColorKits

6) Crash Dieting

7) Shampoo with SLS in ingredients

8) Stressful daily living

9) NO exercise

10) Bleach overlapping

These are proven by my clinic

and it sounds as though # 2 is a problem for you......

you must get rid of the flat Iron.

I know that's hard to hear but it is a new problem....and one that has reached epidemic proportions.

Try this:

Put it away for one month.

Deep 'overnight' condition your hair 1 - 2 nights every week............as it explains on my blog

killerstrands.blogspot.com

in 30 days email me, and tell me what the difference is.

Straighted damaged hair.?

don't forget to cut your split ends...

Straighted damaged hair.?

I have the same problem as you do. I have to straighten my hair almost every day, otherwise my hair will go puffy and kinky. Its so anooying because my hair isnt naturally straight.

I think it is best to sometimes leave off the straightening irons and put loads of leave in conditioner through the hair to nourish the hair in hot weather. Tie the hair in a ponytail and put lots of spray throught the ends.

Im not sure whether chi are the best. I heard GHD are good although i dont own a pair, but i though that all straighteners damage the hair, so im confused. I think ceremaic are the best, so dont get thermoplastic ones or anything else.

Coconut oil condioner is said to be very god for dry/damaged hair. You might also want to try garnier fructus fortyfying shampoos/ conditioners as well as well as a deep condiioning intensive treatment mask. Most brands do one of these.

Straighted damaged hair.?

I have the same problem. I used VIVE PRO (the light pink glossy pearl one) for medium to long damaged hair shampoo %26amp; conditioner. I have to straighten my hair almost every day and I use one of the heat protectants from regis salon that i got at a hair cutting salon.

PS. I have a chi straightener and it's not that great.

Straighted damaged hair.?

Hair straightening always leads to damage if you don't give the proper care that your hair needs. I used to straighten my hair every day for 2 weeks, and immediately I noticed a change in the moisture of my hair. My hair was dry and brittle and split ends began forming. I tried a lot of different products and different straightening strategies on my hair, but only a few worked.

The best one was deep conditioning. Deep conditioning is a process in which you apply a deep hair conditioner (preferably Frizz-Zero Hair Deep Conditioning Treatment by John Freida) to your damp after you shampoo your hair. You have to massage it from the roots of your hair to the ends. Wait 10 minutes with the conditioner in your hair, then rinse it out. This works very well. Deep conditioning is a process that revitalizes your dry, damaged hair and gives it the proper nutrients to restore it. You will definitely notice the difference and not feel guilty about straightening your hair.

Also, about your hair straightener problem, I know that a Sedu Hair straightener iis very effective and leaves your hair smoothe and silky and moist. The problem is that these straighteners are usually over 200 dollars, which is why the hair damaging straighteners are usually cheaper.

CHI straighteners??

I was wondering...

1- What's the difference between the original model and the Farouk model?

2- What are some advantages and disadvantages of these straighteners?

and

3- Will a CHI straightener work on frizzy, wavy, chlorine damaged hair, and if so, which one should I get?

Thank you thank you thank you! :)

CHI straighteners??

1. Farouk is the name of the company that manufactures Chi products. So there is no "original" model and then the "farouk" model. They are the same.

2. The advantage to this flat iron is that it uses negative ions and ceramic plates to straighten the hair at high temperatures without damaging the hair and stripping it of moisture. Also, to a professional stylist, it's advantage is that is heats up very quickly, and can stay at a high temperature for a very long period of time. (In other words, we can keep it turned on all day and it won't hurt anything)

A disadvantage would be that they don't have heat settings on most of the models, it's either on or off. However, I believe the ones they are producing now can be set to either High or Low. Other than that, there aren't too many disadvantages to these irons. They won't damage your hair like some other irons, and they are durable and long-lasting.

3. Yes, they work on all hair types from super tight coarse curls to super straight fine hair that just needs to be smoothed. However, I would recommend using a nice clarifying shampoo once a week for chlorine damaged hair (I really like Shampoo Three by Paul Mitchell). Here are some other tips: Never use on anything other than totally dry hair. If your hair is damp at all, you WILL fry it. Also, use a heat protector spray, like Redken Fabricate or Matrix Iron Smoother on the hair before flat ironing, but avoid using any other kind of products (gel, mouse, hairspray) BEFORE flat ironing. If you do, you will get product buildup on the iron, and your hair can become very damaged. However, it's 100% okay to use hairspray or other products AFTER you are done straightening.

In conclusion, I highly recommend getting a Chi iron, and for you I would suggest getting the 1 or 1 1/2 inch size so that you can work with smaller sections of hair to get the smoothest and straightest style possible. A Chi really is worth the investment. You will love it. Good luck!

CHI straighteners??

I dont know any of those questions but I have really wavy curly and frizzy hair and I shampoo it with Pantene Pro-V EXTRA staright shampoo and them comb blow dry it with a round brush. It starightens your hair really good.

CHI straighteners??

A CHI flat iron is top of the line in the world of hairstyling. it will and can do anything you want it too. If your hair is what you described in question 3, by all means, get a CHI you'll be surprised. My suggestion is to always use a flat iron spray/thermal protective spray before you use any type of flat iron. It protects your hair from extereme heat.

The only disadvantage I can think of is that I have normal color treated hair. I have hair that all stylist dream about, it will do anything - anything. Therefore, a CHI, I feel is too hot for my hair. I have used it on clients with hair as you described in your question and they loved it!!

I hope this helps. If you would like other stylist opinions, check out my yahoo! group cosmoinfo2006 and post your question there, they could give you lots of insight.

BTW, don't use pantene, it leaves a waxy build up on your hair over time. You know the shine they promise in their product? it's wax.

CHI straighteners??

1 i am not sure

2 A advantage is a heats up in a minute and makes my curly frizzy hair stick straight in under 20 minutes

3 Yep it will work this is a great product i recommend it !

Is it really worth the extra money to get a chi?

I have a pretty good straightner it only takes a minute to heat up,but i have really curly and frizzy hair. And it takes me like an hour to straighten it , should i get a chi if so then why

Is it really worth the extra money to get a chi?

Do NOT get CHI. my family went thru 5 CHI in 3 yrs. Chi breaks within a few months and you have to pay $35 plus shipping to get it fixed. Their warranty is worthless!

U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission just announced a recall of Chi flat irons due to fire and burn hazards:

CHI sucks!

Is it really worth the extra money to get a chi?

yes!

they work amazing i have the same problem, i had lots of layers in my hair and because of my old starightner it just kept drying out my hair, the chi one will cover up the split ends and make it healthier without taking all the moisture out, my hair dresser reccomended it to me, i would try it

Is it really worth the extra money to get a chi?

0MG! chyeah it is.. i have curly hair to (: and i bought the chi and it works sooo good. but only buy it if you or anyone else close to you knows how to use it lol. but make sure not to use it too much! cuz it can dry out your hairr.

hope ive helped ya (; %26lt;3

Is it really worth the extra money to get a chi?

No get a chi And get pretty hair

Is it really worth the extra money to get a chi?

I think you can buy good straighter that are not chi but it's worth it...

Is it really worth the extra money to get a chi?

yes i have one it helped my life so much

Is it really worth the extra money to get a chi?

I never thought I would find a straightener that could tame my hair the way I wanted. I bought many cheap straightener's over the years and nothing compares to my CHI. NOTHING!! You have to buy it, no matter how frizzy your hair is, it works!!! Good Luck!

Is it really worth the extra money to get a chi?

YES YES YES!!!

I had a cheap one that I got from Walmart and I upgraded to the CHI and i was amazed!

It keeps your hair straighter for longer and it takes like 20 to 30 min. to straighten my hair and i have CURLY hair, you also get to change the temp. if you want to. It is great I would totally recomend it to anyone!

I hope I helped and good luck! =]

Is it really worth the extra money to get a chi?

well, in the mall; they said chi is a really good straightener, but i know what you can do beside buy it because i have curly hair and frizzyish. It takes me only 20 minutes to 30 to straighten it.

Here are the products I use::

1.Chi-straighten gel called Infra gel

2.Moose by L'oreal paris-studio line

3.Hairspray Pantene style-classic unsented

4.Straighten Gel-TRESenne(used by professionals)

5.AnitFrizz Shiner-REDKEN(says fresh curls)

I put a little of each rub it throw my fingers and run it threw my hair. Don't put to much it will look greasey and get hard. Don't over do the moose especially. Then just brush your hair threw and threw it should should start to de curl. Like but first just let it sit in your hair before you brush it. Let it like sit so you don't brush it all out. While your straightening it spray a little of the hairstyle on a wide tooth comb and run it threw your hair. It helps maintain it straight.

You can get these product at:

C.V.S

Local beauty supply(a sally's if you have one near you)

Hair Salon

Dollar TREE

If you straighten it a lot to make your hair smooth heres an extra tip!:

When your hair is damp put conditioner in your hair and wrap you hair in ciram-wrap. I know it sounds funny but it helps you hair get smooth. Then this is opional that you get a blow drier and blow dry the top of the ciram-wrap but not like right next to it you'll set it a fire. Like a foot away. Then after wash your hair out because with all the conditioner it will cause dandriff. I don't know how this help but it does.

~Not making this up Mom is a hair dresser and has done this before.

I hope this helps!!!!!!!!!!

How hot does the JDL Ceramic Hair Straightener Flat Iron Pink get and is it worth buying?

I need a hair straightener that works everybody says that Chi straighteners break after a year! I am willing to pay $65.00 for it but it needs to get really hot and straighten hair fast!! If you have any suggestions please help!!!

How hot does the JDL Ceramic Hair Straightener Flat Iron Pink get and is it worth buying?

the chi doesnt break after a year ive had mine for about 2 years and it didnt break thats just a myth. you should get the chi!

How hot does the JDL Ceramic Hair Straightener Flat Iron Pink get and is it worth buying?

I think that if you want to try the JDL straightener u should try it!

I myself am buying a CHI hair straightener, because it really convinces me!

Good luck, and if I were u I would go for the CHI!

Wat damage does the hair iron cause?(i mean the chi iron)?

i like using it nearly daily...so any advises(i ve got curly hair and i need to make it straight coz it suits me!!)

and wat kind of protection i should use?

Wat damage does the hair iron cause?(i mean the chi iron)?

1st think about how strong the hair really is! the iron heats up to aprox 375-400 degrees so Wow! the hair can really tolerate alot of heat! if we touch our skin with this iron well, u know the result... yes, everyday use will eventually cause a breakdown of the hair, especially if there is hilites on the hair, the best help is to use the thermal protecting sprays before ironing like AQUAGE THERMAL PROTECT SPRAY AND THEY ALSO JUST CAME OUT WITH A SHAMPOO/CONDITIONER LINE CALLED STRENGTHENING this is perfect for fine flat ironed hair. give the hair a break from the iron any chance u can, but by using good products and trimming the dead ends reguarly 6-8 weeks, u can continue to enjoy ur flat ironed look!

Wat damage does the hair iron cause?(i mean the chi iron)?

It dries your hair. And your hair loses its natural body.

Wat damage does the hair iron cause?(i mean the chi iron)?

It can leave a nasty burn when applied to your nose.

Wat damage does the hair iron cause?(i mean the chi iron)?

I also use a flat iron almost daily because I have wavy hair. Chi makes products you can use on your hair prior to straightening it that help alot. I also just started using Paul Brown Hawaii hair care and its really helped to restore alot of moisture to my hair.

But I've found the best way to get away without using my flat iron every morning is to sleep with a silk scarf on my head, that way my hair just needs brushing out, a little shine serum and I'm good to go!

Wat damage does the hair iron cause?(i mean the chi iron)?

it could burn you

Wat damage does the hair iron cause?(i mean the chi iron)?

Its really damaging actually, but there is stuff you can do to help it.

Try using a straightener that is ionic/ceramic or hydrating, or a combination of all three. Always, always use a heat defense spray, there are loads out there and nearly every brand has one, use a brand you trust, and better yet, if you can find one specifically for hair irons/straighteners, get that one, use it every time.

Had hair japanese straightened, what do I use prior to blowdrying?

I used to use the smoothing serum by CHI and blow dry lotion...Do I need to bother anymore??

Had hair japanese straightened, what do I use prior to blowdrying?

I still use a dab of serum. My hair still gets a little frizz, but it is so much easier to deal with now. It used to take me over an hour to do my hair. Now it is done in 20 minutes.

Did anyone try Original Farouk Chi Flat Iron 1''?

I would like to buy one but I don't know how it works. My hair is about to my elbows very thick and frizzy. It is very hard to straighten it with the straigtenting iron i have now because it takes forever to heat up and pulls my hair so i end up straightening it with a clothes iron which i have burned my self with many times. My hair stylist has this kind and i love my hair after she does it especially with the hair straightener, but im not sure if its cause of the straightener or because of the other things shes does.

Did anyone try Original Farouk Chi Flat Iron 1''?

Well the Chi straightener is the best available. Its the only one patented by NASA for there CHI 44 Ceramic Technology, and they really perfected there product. It uses Far Infra Red to help straighten the hair from the innermost layers of it. (The cuticle being the outside then the cortex and the medula) Because its not ceramic plated like most imatators it gives a even distribution of heat. The original is squeeze sensitive and gets up to 356 degrees f, but the turbo is velvet wrapped and offers a heat control to adjust the setting. Be carful only to buy from a liscensed distributor or you will most likely get a fake. Also, your waranty will not be backed by Farouk. Let me know if you need any more info.

Did anyone try Original Farouk Chi Flat Iron 1''?

no, but all Chi flat irons are great,!

Did anyone try Original Farouk Chi Flat Iron 1''?

They work really good but they get very hott and I've burnt myself alot soo be careful!! : D

Best way to straighten curly hair?

I have naturally curly hair. It is dyed so I really can't permantly straighten it. I blowdry it straight and flat iron it with my chi flat iron every sunday and thursday. I do use heat protection and straighten balm but it takes atleast 3 hours to make it straight. What are some ways to reduce the time? And what do think of the maxiglide flat iron? Do you have any tips to keep it straight?

HEY GIRL IT BETTA TO WEAR IT STRAIGHT!!

Best way to straighten curly hair?

Best way to straighten curly hair?

to help your hair use a damaging spray before straightening your hair

you can use a flat iron and straighten it until its visibly un-curly

to keep it straight make sure it is absolutely dry and there is less humidity when u put ur hair up :)

Best way to straighten curly hair?

Try using a ceramic flat iron. They work better than the regular metal ones. I suggest the conair wet/dry one. It gets REALLY hot in 30 seconds and works like a charm! The results last a while before you have to do it again and even when it is time to do it again, it only takes a short amount of time because the straightener gets so hot and works so well. Its great.

good luck! lol

Best way to straighten curly hair?

My hair is very thick and curly, and like you I prefer it straight. I used to dye my hair, so I know what it`s like.

1. Go to a saloon and get some good straightening products for your hair type, make sure they are safe to use with straightening irons.

2. Get a good straightening iron. I use Corioliss, it might be expencive, but I would definetly say it`s worth it. It`s never been faster to straighten my hair, and it`s never been straighter. It`s easy to use, and you can change the temperature.

3. After you wash your hair put in some straightening hair products.

4. Before you use the straightening iron put in some more hair products, but make sure your hair is totally dry again before you start straightening it.

5. After you have straightened your hair, you can use some hair spray, but make sure it is a dry hairspray. Don`t use any "wet" products since these will make your hair wet and that will make the curls come out again.

How to keep the hair straight... Stay out of the rain, and keep your hair dry...

With the products and straightening iron I use now, it takes me about 15-20minutes to straighten my hair.

Good Luck :-)

Best way to straighten curly hair?

Chi flatt iorns?

how much better is the chi turbo than the origional model?

turbo- http://www.folica.com/CHI_Ceramic_Fla_d5...

origional- http://www.folica.com/CHI_Ceramic_Fla_d1...

which should i get?

i like the way my hair looks when i straighten it with a chi, and i have only ever used the origional. i know that the turbo has different heat settings, but i'm not too sure if i should get it or not. my hair doesn't really burn too easily because i use lots of conditioner, it is very thick and styles easily with the right heat.

also, do you trust this site?

Chi flatt iorns?

i would get the original chi. my friend bought a turbo and she sed it doesnt work nearly as well. o, and i kno u werent considering buying a BIG CHI, but 4 future referance-- DONT!! they dont work at all. if u get a chi, get the regular one. they work sooooo much better

Chi flatt iorns?

Oh, how I wish I could answer that question, I polish my head, well not really but I do keep it shaved (don't like white hair).

Hair things.?

well i have a chi. and i have serum for heat protection.

is that all i need? and i use leave in conditioner from garnier fructis. is that all i need to keep it from frying?

Hair things.?

as long as you are careful and do not over-straighten it, your hair should be fine.

you have to have a lot of heat to fry it.

do not straighten when it is even a little damp....

im sure you know all this kinda stuff.

just straighten like normal and you should be fine.

if it starts to damage it even a little do NOT continue to use it!

Chi Silk Infusion Reveiw Needed!?

I have extremely extremely thick and dry hair. I heard about this product. Since I dont have mangable hair, when i straigthen it is still poofy, dry looking, and not silky. When I use this product will it work wonders, or will it just improve my hair a little since its so hard to help my hair?

Chi Silk Infusion Reveiw Needed!?

Chi products are stinky and don't do the trick for me, I LOVE Redken Glass after I use my CHI iron- it makes the worst hair look like perfect shiny model hair!

How can i keep my hair healthy if i straighten it everyday?

i have really ugly hair so i shower put this heat protecter i got 4rm sallys i blow bry it with a round brush the straighten it. i do this every other day but i use the straightener everyday.( i have a chi) i put this stuff called frizze ease on every layer b 4 i straighten it but it still seems to fry out help me plz

How can i keep my hair healthy if i straighten it everyday?

get an ionic straightener and you may need to switch products also if you wash your hair everyday try washing it less often and wrap it up when your not out and about to kepp the moisture in and the elements out.

How can i keep my hair healthy if i straighten it everyday?

just use a heat tamer, skip the blow drying, then straighten in. only use a little frizz ease when you're done straightening.

use a deep conditioner once a week.

How can i keep my hair healthy if i straighten it everyday?

well of course if you do it every day or every other day it will get fryed!! DUH. it doesnt matter what heat protector you use. find a diff style besides straight. only straighten it once in a while.

How can i keep my hair healthy if i straighten it everyday?

when using that much heat, your hair will still be damaged.

i no its hard to go outside without straightening it but your hair needs a rest.

when using a hot appliance on your hair only use one. so if you use the straightener dont use the hair dyer as well.

weekly conditioning treatments are a must have and regular trims.

i hope i have help!

good luck!

How can i keep my hair healthy if i straighten it everyday?

You need a protien treatment. If you like sally's get a colesterol treatment. If you can afford it go a salon and get a silk therapy treatment. Use sleek looks by matrix its designed to protect your hair from the heat and help straighten it out.

How can i keep my hair healthy if i straighten it everyday?

I straighten my hair everyday too, and what I use is chi silk infusion and heavy duty conditioner once a week - like the kind they have in hair dye kits. My hair doesn't feel the least bit fryed.

How can i keep my hair healthy if i straighten it everyday?

Use Biosilk liquid it will protect your hair before you straighten it as it will burn off the oil not your hair. Also try masks in your hair such as terax cream. It will help replenish the lost moisture in your hair.

How can i keep my hair healthy if i straighten it everyday?

i suggest that you keep your hair away from damage by not straightening it every day. remember, it is better to go with nature than against it. if you have curly or wavy hair, cherish it. take good care of your hair by using conditioners. Wash your hair at night and go to bed. your hair will be really nice the next morning. work with your hair and create different styles. straighten it only once in a while, only when u need to look different. so my strong advice would be to cut back on all these products (after all, they are chemicals you are putting in your hair, and they will eventually harm it) and not blow dry and straighten that often. i hoped this helped.

How can i keep my hair healthy if i straighten it everyday?

it straighten my hair every day too people say to cut back i no its hard u just gotta make sure u take good care of it

try the following:

~moisturizing shampoo/conditioner

~deep conditioner once or twice a week

~heat protectant

~leave in conditioner

~and make sure u get it trimmed about every 6 weeks

*good luck*

I need help with my african american hair ASAP?

I have decieded to go natural because im getting tired of perms...i haven't gotten a perm in about 4-5 months but whenever i use my chi iron it flatens it out as if i had a perm...my mom told me that if i don't cut off my permed hair that it will break off but i don't think so...my hair is somewhat long and is hard to manage when its wet and so wavy, but so easy to manage when i use the chi. i guess my questions are: will my hair break off if i don't cut off the permed hair??? and when i grow out the permed hair, and when i flat iron it, will it still look the same??? also, is this even a good idea because i don't think i will ever wear it as a fro, i just want to flat iron it everytime and i just want the full-ness i used to have when i was a child.

proffesionals and experienced naturals only please.

thanks.

I need help with my african american hair ASAP?

Wow.

I can definitely help you with this. I have the exact same hair. Well, I used to. Now, there are two options.

1) You can use hair curlers and hair gel to make it tightly curly and put it in a pony tail, or make dreds (but that's like a lifetime commitment)

2) You can cut it shoulder-length and straighten it, and that opens up so many different hairstyles. TIP: Go to seventeen.com for a few.

Hope this helps!

P.S.- I tried the second option.

I need help with my african american hair ASAP?

talk to dr. la tanya sharpe.

shes amazing.

my husband used to be dr. la tanya sharpe

I need help with my african american hair ASAP?

well... to tell you the truth hun... your hair is going to break off because perms SERIOUSLY damage your hair... if i were you... i wood cut it off and get extensions or a wig or if it looks good cut then leev it... but u shood cut it off so u can start over wit new hair and it will look greet!!

I need help with my african american hair ASAP?

actually going natural with your hair will cause breakage, if you dont keep it trimed, because your hair is so use to perms. if you keep your hair trimed it will show less breakage and then you will be able to go natural.

I need help with my african american hair ASAP?

Your permed hair won't break out unless you're putting your flat iron to it without heat protection like a thermal spray. You still need to get trims every 6 weeks to clip off the split ends (they occur easier on chemically treated/relaxed hair).

Your flat iron will make your natural hair look like it did when you got it relaxed. Make sure you use the thermal spray EVERY time (natural hair is more brittle). I love CHI Iron Guard spray, and it holds your hair...even in humidity it won't get frizzy or wavy unless you sweat a lot.

Someone please help me with my hair, I can't stand it.?

I have extremely curly hair. But that doesn't really describe it. It's more like curly/kinky, but most of all, frizzy. I have frizz coming out the freakin' wazoo. I have tried frizz ease, this pantene anti-friz stuff, and pretty much all products under the sun meant to "de-poof" your hair. Along with those, I have also tried the classic "gel and scrunch method" and I am still left with mountains of friz and curls that are so tight they are anything but pretty. I have gone to hairdressers and stylists, some who do my hair and give me advice, only to have me come back an hour later after it dries because it is still awful looking, and then there are the stylists who just refuse because they don't want to be there for hours.

I straighten my my hair with a solia, and I used to use a chi, both of which work fine, but kill my hair. My hair is virtually straw at this point. All I want is pretty straight hair. Help me.

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y228/De...

Someone please help me with my hair, I can't stand it.?

There are 2 good options. 1. Get a professonal straightener. They are availabe at hairdressers and salons, and sell for about $90. But they're work amazingly well.

2. Get thermal straightening. Its done at a salon and is just like a perm except that it'll make your hair straight instead of curley.

Good luck!

Someone please help me with my hair, I can't stand it.?

looks ok to me

Someone please help me with my hair, I can't stand it.?

you can go and get it permanetley relaxed at a professional salon... what id do...

Someone please help me with my hair, I can't stand it.?

Oh i thought you were black. just use this, works like a charm!

http://www.mysimon.com/9015-10955_8-3082...

Someone please help me with my hair, I can't stand it.?

Perhaps getting a short bob and chemically straightened.

Someone please help me with my hair, I can't stand it.?

Okay so obviously, straightening your hair every single day does not solve the problem. If you weren't using hair protecting cream, of course it would be like straw at this point! Buy some leave in cream like garnier fructis. I know those frizz-free stuff never work, its just wasting money. Get a trim for those split ends at the end. And good choice: Solia is one of my favorites. You'll get better results with a lot of leave-in conditioner and have a smoother look. Please get a trim! :)

Hope this helped

Someone please help me with my hair, I can't stand it.?

If you want to proudly wear your curls out then Garnier Fructise has this puddy stuff that works really well to hold your curls together without frizzing up. Trick is don't wet it too much before applying the puddy. Or if you're going for straight, use plenty of head protectant. I'd personally recommend Treseme's heat protectant spray or nexxus is good as well. Best of luck to you

Someone please help me with my hair, I can't stand it.?

Ya your hair is really curly but nice curls (in that picture) but i do notice the damage...Maybe its time to get a trim and start over and get nice healthy hair and start using products like silk therapy; it helps make you hair look healthy, protects it from hot tools and make it supper shiny.. you can get it at wall mart or a hair salon. I dont know about the "poof" because my hair isnt poofy but your hair might be poofy because it is damaged.. Good luck, hope this helped.

Someone please help me with my hair, I can't stand it.?

i heard about this thing called Japenese straightening.- as a stylist about it - i think it damages ur hair, but then it is permanently straight.. after that just wait for helathy hair to grown in. if ur hair is thick - not poofy - ask a stylist about dethickining ur hair - it can be done!

hope i helped!

Someone please help me with my hair, I can't stand it.?

Curls need moisture, your hair looks like it is desperate need of some massive deep conditioning. Curls that are dry are more likely to frizz. My daughter has super curly hair, mine is straight. So it has been a learning process. I suggest going with the CurlyGirl method, embrace the curls, don't fight them. Christmas break is a great chance to get those curls healthy again!. Almost all of your "over the counter" straightening products are actually damaging your curls.

For my daughter, we stopped using shampoo, its drying. We wash with VO5 strawberries and cream conditioner and then condition (leave in for a few minutes) and detangle with Little Sprouts Deep Condtioner. Comb in the shower, plop onto a t-shirt or a microfiber towel, absorb excess moisture and then let it dry natural. At night she sleeps on a silky pillowcase with her hair in a high pony tail (called "pineappling") In the morning we let it down and it looks great. If there are any flat spots we use a clip or two.

Good Luck!

Someone please help me with my hair, I can't stand it.?

1. shampoo with any frizz controlling shampoo

2. put extra conditioner but make sure you wash it good

3.natural dry some people blow drying helps but on me the heat makes it worse

4. next comb it with wuth a fine tooth comb

5. use fructis garnier frizz something or sleek and shine straightening polish

6. the best thing of all is maxiglide i saw a 1 hr show about

its straightening iron and and one point they showed us this beyond straight and they put a line in the middle and have of it they but the beyond straight stuff put her i a steamm booth

half of it poofed up and the otherstayed the same

(go on google then maxiglide)

Fhi vs chi vs ghd?

which hair straightener comes out on top?

Fhi vs chi vs ghd?

fer ser the ghd if not then the fri please not chi it's crap !!!

Fhi vs chi vs ghd?

GHD!

Fhi vs chi vs ghd?

I only no what the CHI is. So I'm gonna say CHI

Fhi vs chi vs ghd?

None. straighteners are not good for your hair people say no but all that heat damages your hair don't use it daily.

Fhi vs chi vs ghd?

fhi is better than chi, and ghd is the newest one out but personally i like the fhi. the are different levels though in each brand i like the platform in the fhi, it gets to 450 degrees and can actually go from damp (not wet) hair to dry, though i don't recommend flat ironing unless the hair is dry, there are price differences also

Fhi vs chi vs ghd?

Honestly. They all do the same thing its just a matter of personal preference. I personally have tried the chi and the ghd. I prefer the CHI. My hands are small and it was like the missing piece of puzzle that i was looking for. (find a place that has all three that you can try and then decide what you like)

Its not the tool. Its the person operating it!!

Are chi straighteners really worth the extra money???

i have thin dry hair...i have split ends form using my conair ceramic straightener too much...my hair is so dry that its still a bit frizzy after i straighten it and it takes a little over 30 minutes to straighten with my regular con air straightener.

this is my current straightener

http://www.flatironreviews.com/images/up...

this is the one i want

http://www.target.com/CHI-Ceramic-Style-...

Is the CHI better at preventing heat damage?

will it straigten my hair faster?

does it leave my hair straighter and smoother???

is it worth the extra money???

is it true they're recalling this straightener???

http://www.folica.com/info/CHI-recall.ht...

Are chi straighteners really worth the extra money???

i have the same straightener as you and i hate the frizz to and i used my friends 1 day at a sleepover/party...and it was a chii.....the best ever...no frizz...at all!!

Are chi straighteners really worth the extra money???

this ones better.

http://www.folica.com/Sedu_Ionic_Cera_d1...

Are chi straighteners really worth the extra money???

Well, i have thick hair so i'm not sure how this will apply to you but with my thick hair it takes me like 20 minutes max to straighten my hair, 10 minutes if i need it quick. Since i got this one my hair doesnt really spilt any more and it stays a lot straighter and smoother, so im my opinion it really is worth the extra money.

Are chi straighteners really worth the extra money???

the chi makes your hair look great. it still dries out your hair though

Are chi straighteners really worth the extra money???

The first girl who answered is folicia paying you to advertise their sedu???

Chi is definitely best at preventing heat damage because as you can tell it has the temperature set up and doesn't require you to adjust it like the other brands...

It will straighten you hair faster it takes me two time to go over my hair

It does leave hair smoother and straighter because of what it's built of and the plates..

My opinion it's worth the extra money...

The last link you posted is a complete fabrication of folicia to get you to buy their sedu or other straighteners because they know you really can't compete with the chi so they are playing dirty game...The chi on their website is actually a fake....I got proof.

http://www.behindthechairexchange.com/fa...

Tip:For maximum results use the chi silk infusion to make your hair shiny and smooth i actually use it when i get out of the shower and my hair is wet and when my hair is ready to straighten..!!

Are chi straighteners really worth the extra money???

NOOo!!!! the CHI is not that good, i bought one and it worked for one day... then my hair was frizzy again...

the one you should get is a Corioliss, it helps heal the hair, keep in natural oils and not damage it, and unlike the Chi it it 100% ceramic, most straightneners are just ceramic coated...

It retails for a little more than the chi, BUT on ebay you can buy it for $75-25, i have bought my mom, friends, and i one and we all love them better than the chi...

also some Chi flat iorns have been RECALLED... so be carefull...

hope this helps! really the chi is NOT WORTH IT... check out this auction, on ebay:

you can also bid on some if you want a lower price, and thy come in dif colors and everythting so check it out!

I might buy a Chi flattening iron, and I've seen it make wonderul curls, but can it make your hair wavy like this?:

http://z.about.com/d/kidsmusic/1/0/0/4/b...

Oh, and also, about how long do you think a Chi would take to straighten a whole head of hair thats pretty curly and frizzy? And should i blow dry it before or let it just air-dry?

THANK YOU ! (:

I know a Chi iron can make curls, but can it make big waves?

Yes it can. All you have to do is curl the hair not tight but loose. Then before it falls pin it up in your hair. That way when your hair is done your curls are still in tact and they will all fall in place at the same time. Make sure to you use a styling oil aswell.

PS Make sure you blow dry your hair so that your hair won't frizz!

I know a Chi iron can make curls, but can it make big waves?

use a conair curling iron. i use it and it works wonderfully!

I know a Chi iron can make curls, but can it make big waves?

You can make waves with the iron if you first use it to make curls...and then blow dry the curls so they come out of the curls and into waves.

I know a Chi iron can make curls, but can it make big waves?

Yes!that is a very cute hair style. But yea Chi irons can do anything. i have one and it works like magic. my hair is also curly and frizzy and to get it perfectly staight it takes me a good 30 minutes.

Hope I helped!

I know a Chi iron can make curls, but can it make big waves?

You can curl your hair with the Chi iron, but it might be hard to get wavy chair like the picture. I would buy some hot rollers, they cost about 20 dollars and work great. I have a Chi iron and it takes about 5-10 minutes, Its GREAT! I would let your hair air-dry because if you blow dry it and straighten it, you hair will become very damaged. Also, before you straighten your hair, apply a product to your hair to protect it, the last thing you want is fragile, fried hair with a bunch of split ends. Good Luck!

CHI Flat Iron. What heat setting should I use it on?

My hair is wavy, puffy, and frizzy. My CHI 2" Flat Iron's heat setting is from 176-356 degrees fahrenheit.

CHI Flat Iron. What heat setting should I use it on?

My hair is like that! I have to put in on the highest setting there is to get the results I am looking for. I think you should do the same...but if your hair starts to "fry up" (burn) turn it down. But I think about 350 degress should do it.

CHI Flat Iron. What heat setting should I use it on?

The more coarse your hair the higher the setting. If your hair is fine you need to use less heat so it doesn't damage it. And always be sure to use a spray on your hair first that contains silicone to lock in the heat and to protect your hair.

CHI Flat Iron. What heat setting should I use it on?

355 degrees should do it.

Chi Farouk or Tourmaline T3?

I need a new hair dryer and can't decide between Chi Farouk Rocket or T3 bespoke labs featherweight 2000 watt. Anybody have any experience with either or both? Thanks.

Do Maxiglide's get ur hair silky straight??Bang problem(read below first)?

everyone says chi and such but i just want people who used the product maxiglide to tell me.Cuz my hair is thick and curly(ive asked this question like a billion x but havent got any good answers)and i made a stupid mistake of getting bangs!now when i straighten its just a blob of too much frizz and poof!will maxiglide fix my problem?HELP

Do Maxiglide's get ur hair silky straight??Bang problem(read below first)?

i had a maxiglide an i have naturally curly and frizzy hair, sure on the infomercial it says that you can let your hair air dry but i have tried that once and the pins on the plate got tangled in my hair. I dont know if it was just me but the maxiglide left my hair stiff. I dont like it. then I bought a chi and lets just say its the best flat iron i ever bought. I give it an plus.

oh yeah i also noticed that chis get closer to the root than the maxi glide

Do Maxiglide's get ur hair silky straight??Bang problem(read below first)?

maxiglide is the best thing since a microwave oven...literally!

i love it...it is amazing, it leaves your hair feeling silky and smooth. my friend has the same problem, she has the most hair ever and is the curliest and frizziest ever, i used the maxiglide on her hair and it worked wonders. It is amazing and i love it....you should really get it!

Does anyone know about sedu, solia, or GHD hair straighteners/flat irons?

i want to try one of these brands. i have had a fhi and a chi. does anyone know about how well a sedu, solia, or GHD holds up? i would like the one that works best/gets the hottest of course. but i would also like to buy one that lasts. i have VERY curly hair! frizzy! not just wavy...

Does anyone know about sedu, solia, or GHD hair straighteners/flat irons?

I have the SOLIA and I love it. I got it at www.folica.com. It has the same technology as the sedu and CHI, but is only about $88. You can straighten, do flips and curls with it. It goes up to 450. I have heard some people say they have had theirs for years I have only had mine for a few months and it works great.

My hair is very thick long frizzy and poofy and it leaves my hair smooth silky shiny and very straight. It also has ionic technology that cuts down the frizzes and fly aways. This is the first flat iron that has actually worked on my hard to style hair.

Hope this helps you :)

Does anyone know about sedu, solia, or GHD hair straighteners/flat irons?

Use an ionic flat iron. It will not curl back easly.

Solia makes a Tourmaline Ceramic Ionic Flat Iron.

According to the Solia flat iron website, "tourmaline,

a precious stone, is used to generate up to 6 times more

negative ions than traditional ceramic irons".( $75/85)

What is a good shampoo/conditioner or product to make your hair glossy?

I use the Remington Wet2Straight and a CHI straightener. What is good for glossy hair? L'Oreal Nutri-Gloss?

What is a good shampoo/conditioner or product to make your hair glossy?

when I straighten my hair my hair looks smooth and shiny after I use heat spray before I straighten it. or try some smooth and shiny products. hope that helps you.

What is a good shampoo/conditioner or product to make your hair glossy?

basically anyone that u like. what i do is, i use my conditioner, and leave it in for 5 or 6 minutes, then wash it out. afterwards my hair feels really soft and smooth and shiny. aslo u can add a little bit of honey to ur shampoo, and that works too. :)

What is a good shampoo/conditioner or product to make your hair glossy?

i would use any of those hair glosses. they seem work the best. i get my conditioner from a saloon, i just use conditioner that i can put a comb thru my hair right after i wash it. If I cant do that I try a new one. i have very long hair and the one im using right now is fantastic s ams dry/ damaged conditioner even tho i dont have damaged hair. thus is probably why my hair is down to butt. stick with the hydrating conditioners.

What is a good shampoo/conditioner or product to make your hair glossy?

I use herbal essenses [sp] but I leave in the conditioner while I shave my legs then wash it out and my hair is smooth, shiny, soft, and perfect. I love it. goodluck!

What is a good shampoo/conditioner or product to make your hair glossy?

i use this shiny stuff by chi that comes in a small bottle for about $10-$15.

What is a good shampoo/conditioner or product to make your hair glossy?

The absolute best is the new brand called Organix. It has organic active ingredients and is sulfate-free so it wont dry out your hair, plus...it smells absolutely awesome! Organix has different collections for different hair types with different scents which are all amazing! You can get Organix at Target, Albertsons, Bed Bath %26amp; Beyond, Kroger, Duane Reade, Safeway, sect Wal-Mart and CVS. You'll love it!!!

Hair Problem?

chi. definitely. it was the best thing i bought in a long time.

Hair Problem?

Do NOT get CHI. my family went thru 5 CHI in 3 yrs. Chi breaks within a few months and you have to pay $35 plus shipping to get it fixed.

Chi is being recalled now due to fire hazards. see:

CHI sucks!

My hair will not stay?

straight.

i have had two chi's and they both broke, and i CAN NOT afford them.

i also don't have time to go out to buy any special product.

i straighten my hair, but right when i step outside its wavy again.

my hair is thick, and really wavy.

pleaseeeeeeee help.

how can i keep my hair straight?

any home products or tricks, or something...pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!...

My hair will not stay?

Send an email or a letter to the chi company and say you have two broken ones (but only if you still have the warranty papers).

this happened to my mom when the coffee maker broke, and they sent her another one for free!!!

although she still had to send the broken one back, but what is the point of keeping the broken one?!

well good luck!

em

My hair will not stay?

before straightening, use a heat-protective spray. it usually gives some hold. so after you straighten it, your hair has less damage, and plus it won't grow wavy again quickly.

i use the TIGI Catwalk Spritz %26amp; Shine. it works very well.

best of luck. x

WHAT KIND OF PRODUCTS cAN KEEEP MY HAIR STRAIGHT??

I BEING USING THE CHI FLAT IRON BUT IT WILL ONLY KEEO IT STRAIGHT FOR A WHILE WHAT CAN I USE TO HAVE IT STRAIGHT LINGER AND SHINY KIND OF NATURAL LOOKING?MY HAIR IS PUFFY ANF FREZZY PLZ HELP

WHAT KIND OF PRODUCTS cAN KEEEP MY HAIR STRAIGHT??

Products with a lot of chemicals that damage your natural hair

My senior pictures are coming up soon and I am going to wear my hair straight and down.?

How can I make sure my hair stays straight and non frizzy because humidity and my hair just doesn't mix and I see everyone with nice, sleek, stick straight hair. That is what I want but it never turns out that way. I even have an expensive Chi striaghtener. Any tips?

My senior pictures are coming up soon and I am going to wear my hair straight and down.?

You need to get a product called MEMORY - you spray it on your hair before you straighten it and it helps to keep it that way.

My senior pictures are coming up soon and I am going to wear my hair straight and down.?

Do you use a thermal styling spray before you flat iron? This not only helps to hold your style, but also protects your hair from heat damage. Redken and Kenra make great thermal styling sprays. If that isn't enough, and you live in a humid area, then there is a product by Sabino called Moisture Block that is a great humidity barrier. You put about a quarter size in your palms and scrunch through hair before drying, and also a drop or two from midshaft to ends before flat ironing to seal it in even more. Be careful not to put too much near your scalp, though, because it can make your hair look oily. If you have oily hair already, then you can decrease the amount you use before drying. You can play with it at home to see how much works for you the best.

I hope this helps to answer your question.

My senior pictures are coming up soon and I am going to wear my hair straight and down.?

when your hair is soaking wet apply serum like the frizz-ease john frieda kind. then, while straightening apply a heat protector [this will help with the frizz %26amp; it will protect your hair from getting burnt]

when you're done, apply a bit more serum just to lock the look.

you're done!! :)

good luck

When does a long haired Chihuahua's hair reach it's adult length?

I just bought an 8-month old Long Haired CHI, I was wondering when the hair reaches it's final or adult length? And when do they reach the final size?

When does a long haired Chihuahua's hair reach it's adult length?

Depends on the breed but most dogs are in their adult coat by two years of age.

When does a long haired Chihuahua's hair reach it's adult length?

im sorry i dunno but i just wanna say.....I LOVE CHIUAUAS!!!!!! ....do they yap alot?

When does a long haired Chihuahua's hair reach it's adult length?

Exactly one year and 30 days. 375 days.

When does a long haired Chihuahua's hair reach it's adult length?

Long Coated Chihuahuas can take a little time to get their full coats, sometimes up to 14-24 months of age.

What is the best straightener for my hair?

i have thin hair. its not super thin, but it's more thin than thick. it's already mostly straight, but when i get out of the shower, it sometimes turns wavy. i have a conair, but want something with more power. i don't really want it to be over $100 dollars (i'm only 13, so i'm not the richest person in the world) [yet!]. but i was thinking a chi or paul mitchell. but i would appreciate your advice a lot! thanks!

What is the best straightener for my hair?

A CHI would be best for your hair. the ceramic plates prevent even thin hair from burning from heat. But condition ... all of them cause dryness.

What is the best straightener for my hair?

i use the chi %26amp; i love it!

What is the best straightener for my hair?

I have a Chi and it's AMAZING. It does tend to make my hair look thinner, though.

I would recommend the Chi for power, but if you're looking for something that won't make your hair look paper thin, then you might check out some other answers or get a Chi and use a volumizing shampoo.

What is the best straightener for my hair?

CHI or FHI which is a fake chi just make shure it is ceramic

What is the best straightener for my hair?

a conair one is good. its what i have %26amp; my hair isnt the thickest either

What is the best straightener for my hair?

You don't have to invest in a really expensive straightener if you already have straight hair. Don't splurge on an expensive salon straightener when a Conair or Revlon straightener will give you similar results. They cost less than $20.

What is the best straightener for my hair?

I would with CHI

What is the best straightener for my hair?

well to start you want a ceramic straightner so your hair doesnt get as dry or damaged also you might want to spray some shiner or flat iron spary too and paul mithchel straightners are expensive well more than a 100 dollars anyway :)

What is the best straightener for my hair?

I've heard Chi straighteners we're very good, but I've never used one. I have a Sedu hair straightener, and it works extremely well. I have very thick, curly hair, and it gets my hair perfectly straight (my picture has straight hair and I used my straightener). My other friends also have the Sedu, and their hair is a lot thinner than mine and they absolutely love it.

You can get it here:

http://www.folica.com/Sedu_Ionic_Cera_d1...

Here is a one inch. They also have 1 1/2 inch, but they work the same. It's a little over 100 dollars, but is definitely worth the money. I have had mine for over a year and it still works great :-)

And as everyone says, make sure you get a ceramic. They are better for your hair.

What is the best straightener for my hair?

Make sure you get a *ceramic* straightener.

The thinner the straightener is, the more control you have over it.

Most people I know have 1".

Chi and Baybliss work well. Baybliss is definitely less expensive than Chi, especially when it is on sale. I think you would be able to find one for under $100.

What is the best straightener for my hair?

you should get a chi ive had one for 5 years, i got mine when i was 15 so i wasnt very rich either. i got it off ebay for only 80 dollars. and it was brand new and works perfect

What is the best straightener for my hair?

I have hair that isn't super thin and isn't thick. I use a wet to strait one and i LOVE it!!!!!!!! I hope this helps

What is the best straightener for my hair?

i'm 13, i have a CHI straightening iron. it works really well, it doesn't damage your hair. but if you don't want to spend a 100 bucks on a flat iron.. you can go to target and look for some straighteners there. make sure the blades are ceramic. if i were you i would buy the bedhead brand.

What is the best straightener for my hair?

Chi's do not last long. They break way too easily.

For more information on a Sedu, you can go to sedubeauty.com.

Flipping hair with a Sedu:

http://youtube.com/watch?v=qrMPuIdQ0vw

I would also recommend using a 1 inch instead of 1 1/2 inch, because the 1 1/2 doesn't do curls very well.

It reaches 410 degrees, with tempature control. CHI doesn't have tempature control, which means if the set tempature is too high, it could fry your hair. For thin hair, you would need to use the 250 degree.

Celebrites have nice hair, and they don't use CHI, they use Sedu. Go to beautyriot.com and look at many Sedu Hairstyles. they are under the catagaory, Sedu Hairstyles. All hairstyle websites have something caled Sedu Hairstyles.

Good luck!

Chi chemical straightening???

Is the chi chemically straightening thing really bad for your hair???

Should you get it done if you have kind of curly hiar but it straighten easily??

About how much would it cost for me to do it I have about 2 inches longer than shoulder length hair.

I want to get this done because I straighten my hair every day and it takes alot of time....I kind of wanted to know what would be worst having you hair chenically straightened or straightening you hair everyday.

Chi chemical straightening???

i think the heat from straightening it everyday would be worse. i've been wanting to do the same thing and had the same question, but im pretty sure the heat damage would be much worse than a one time thing, even though the chemicals arent the best for your hair either.

Chi chemical straightening???

If you colour your hair, then straightening it aswell would have a more drying effect on your hair and your hair would be more damaged. Personally, I would straighten it over having to use a straightener every day. If you did it yourself, you would by 2 boxes of perming solution. (2 would be good for the length of your hair) instead of putting it up in rollers, you would keep combing it straight for the length of time indicated with a fine toothed comb so it is as straight as possible. Then you would by a really good deep conditioning treatment and use once a week for a few weeks. Or, you can get it done by a stylist at a salon. If you do get it done at a salon and don't want to pay big money, call up salon schools and get a student to do it. They need the training and there is a teacher right there to make sure it is done correctly. The price is so much cheaper and because they want to do good in school, I find they do a better job then some salon people who are in it for the money and do a rush job on your hair. I took hairdressing at a career school for hairstyling and the prices unreal compared to a salon. The teachers all have experience and have to stay up to date on stlyes and trends for hair.

Using the flat iron has obviously changed my naturally curly hair to straight. Can I get it curly ag

My hair used to be thick and curly. I would have to relax it with chemicals but ever since i started using the chi flat iron it drys straight and I can't wear it curl. How do I get back my thick curly natural hair?

Using the flat iron has obviously changed my naturally curly hair to straight. Can I get it curly again?

that started happening to me too after i flat ironed my hair straight for almost two years straight.

what i did was i started putting hair get in my hair (not alot) and then just scrunching it up with my hair to boost the nartualness of the curls. it worked pretty well and now my hair curls again on its own. (although i still like to scrunch)

hope that helps.

:}

Using the flat iron has obviously changed my naturally curly hair to straight. Can I get it curly again?

Stop using it for a while and use curl shampoo and a curling iron and dont relax it with chemicals it dries out ur hair, and try a shampoo for damaged hair (because of chemicals)

Using the flat iron has obviously changed my naturally curly hair to straight. Can I get it curly again?

Have you changed shampoos/conditioners? Mine is usually frizzy and poofy, but since using a different shampoo, its been drying beautifully straight. It has nothing to do with my flat iron.

I find it very hard to believe a flat iron could permanently change hair texture (but if it really did, you are one lucky gal!).

If its not your shampoo or conditioner, go to a salon and see what they can do to get your curls back.

Using the flat iron has obviously changed my naturally curly hair to straight. Can I get it curly again?

my hair did the same thing! something i realized worked for me was garnier fructis curl construct mousse. while your hair is damp your can scrunch it with some of this and it really works for my hair. it makes it really curly. if you do this for a while, it usually starts to get some body and curl back. also, try not straightening it so often. you could wear your hair in a cute pony tail or something some days. and if the mousse works, then wear it curly some days. you can get this product at walmart. also, if you want to try another mousse, im sure it would work also.
