How do i straighten really curly frizzy hair???????

I have really cury hair, and whenever it goes near heat POOF it totally frizzes out. I already have CHI straightening serum, and a really good crematic straightener. I just need directions, please step by step, no websites! I just need directions, starting after i get out of the shower.

How do i straighten really curly frizzy hair???????

1. Take a shower

2. Sleep on hair wet

3. Wake up and Straighten your hair

Good luck.

How do i straighten really curly frizzy hair???????

Sleep with your hair wet.

Wake up, straighten it.

Then add your anti-frizz stuff.

How do i straighten really curly frizzy hair???????

You have to use an anti frizz product first. Blow dry your hair until totally dry. Take your hair in sections. For example pull half of your up in a clip and as you straighten sections, keep letting more hair out of your clip until completion.

How do i straighten really curly frizzy hair???????

after u get outa the shower but in and anti frizz jell they blow dry ur hair cuz when u blow dry it it helps it from curllying. ( whn blowdrying ur hair blow dry it in sections) then after ur hair is completly dry use a seraamic straghtner, It works for me i hhope it works for u =]

How do i straighten really curly frizzy hair???????

ummm you cant take a shower and before it puffs up again brush it and then dry it and then you can straiten it too

How do i straighten really curly frizzy hair???????

GHD hair straightners are also good

this is what i do and it works for me!

1. towel dry my hair a bit.

2.put heat protective cream on my hair.

3.blow dry my hair so its not soo wet.

4.let it air dry the rest.

5. i then put some more product in

6. the start straightnening! i put my hair into little sections with clips, its easier that way. dont keep the straightner still, but dont go very fast or extremley slow just in between!

7. when ive done all of it i then put a shine surum on it and brush through and make sure i haven't mised any bits!

How do i straighten really curly frizzy hair???????

Are you afraid of being called a frizzy haired -oh that's right... people don't want to talk about that anymore.

How do i straighten really curly frizzy hair???????

Ok, well I know what you're talking about I have the same problem. First of all if you dont already do so, shampoo twice, but make sure you wash it out. Its good for curly hair. Then once out of the shower towel dry your hair. I'm also gonna tell ya, that straightening serum is not gonna be enough, sorry. I would go out and buy a de-volumizer, i suggest John Frieda's DownPlay, it works great for poofy hair. If you dont get it, that's your choice. Also I suggest using some sort of serum to protect your hair from the heat of the flat iron, also get it/don't,your choice. Then put however much of that straightening serum you need into your hair. Then if you have one, use a round brush to blow dry your hair, or you can sleep on it, but blow drying it will make it straighter. Then just turn your straightener on whatever heat you need and straighten your hair, then use a little bit of hairspray to make it stay.

I know its high-maintenance,but its worth it in the end.

Hope this helped!

How do i straighten really curly frizzy hair???????

Ok iI have the same problems so I can give you some good advice (or atleast I hope lol). I also own a CHI straigtener and then I got the Farouk Silk serum (which is the best product I have ever found and helps protect you hair from heat damage) Ok here are the steps:

1) Wash and condition hair in shower (don't completely rinse all conditioner out, leave a little but not to much or you will end up with oily hair) tip: try using Thermasilk shampoo and conditioner it is really good for using with heating products like blow dryer and straighteners etc.

2) Towel dry your hair and then blow dry your hair. Stop blow drying about half way through and then add some of your serum (of any sort that you want to use) and brush very well. Finish blow drying.

3) Once your hair is COMPLETELY dry add some more of your serum (depending on you hair length use about a dime sized amount in the palm of your hand and rub between you hands and then smooth throught your hair thoroghly. Brush your hair again to get as many tangles out as possible.

4) Section out you hair using hair clips and then use small amounts of hair to start straightening. Tip: I would start with the back of your hair that way when you are completly done straightening all of your hair you can go back over and do touch ups.

5) When you are done if you still have some friz (which you shouldn't but it is possible) Use a very small dab of your serum to smooth out your hair

Hope this helps you out!

Wat is the BEST product 4 straightining super curly hair?

k i have really curly hair and i have 2 good straighteners the maxie glide and the chi but when i straighten it the next morning its wavy and later on in the day its frizzy so wat do yall recomend??? that works really good

Wat is the BEST product 4 straightining super curly hair?

I use garnier frizz free formula after I wash my hair and then before styling use pink lotion that helps. The maxiglide is great for curly hair. I love it.

Wat is the BEST product 4 straightining super curly hair?

- Go curly! Read the book and visit the sites below about curly hair. I did and my once horrible curly hair is now virtually frizz-free ringlets. Now I get compliments on my hair all the time! Straighten your hair- be happy for a day, learn to manage your curly hair- be happy for life!

- To style your hair using the curly-girl method you will need gel, a leave in cream, and conditioner at the minimum. Some less useful, but still nice stuff would be a blowdryer, a diffuser (reduces frizz in curly/wavy hair when used with dryer), and a microfiber hair turban (to dry wet hair while sleeping or in the morning).

-The main philosophy of the curly-girl method is to not use shampoo. This may sound unhygenic but it has actually made my hair less oily and dandruffy. Most shampoos contain some of the same chemicals found in laundry detergent (aka sodium laureth sulfate or anything close to that). They dry out curly hair. Also you shouldn't brush your curly hair dry because it damages the hair and makes it poof.

- Massaging of the scalp with conditioner to remove dirt is all that is needed. It will clean everything but super clingy silicones (cyclopentasiloxane and dimethicone are examples). Then rinse and spread conditioner on the outside layer of hair and the hair at the nape of your neck. Gently comb tangles out with your fingers or a wide toothed comb and rinse with cold/cool water.

- Do not brush/comb your hair after this point because it wil disturb the curl pattern (make sure you already have a part). It is also important to use gel on sopping wet hair and scrunch the hair with your fingers. Make sure gel is evenly distributed everywhere in your hair. If you use too much you can always scrunch out the crunchy texture later.

- Use paper towels or an old t-shirt to gently scrunch some of the water out (generic towels can make hair frizz). You can either let your hair air dry or wait ten minutes and then use a blowdryer with a diffuser. Dry until your hair is almost dry, and then let air dry the last bit. Do not touch the hair while it is air drying or it will frizz!

- Use a moisturizing conditioner, such as Desert Essence Organics Italian Red Grape Conditioner (found at health food/organic stores) or Activate Hydrating Conditioner (drugstore). The combo of products that I use daily is L'Oreal Out of Bed Weightless Texturizer (comes in a black-colored tub) and then Herbal Essences Totally Twisted Gel or Body Envy Gel, but there are more conditioners, gels, etc. on the websites. The products I recommended are my personal favorites and contain no silicones.

- Your hair may seem worse at first, but it is just adjusting. This may take a couple weeks to begin working. Before you decide to quit shampoo, do a final cleanse with shampoo and stop the use of any products with silicones in them. Hope this helps!

Curly girl by Loirane Massey

Wat is the BEST product 4 straightining super curly hair?

I recommend this: shampoo and condition with Redken Smooth Down shampoo and conditioner. (It will prep your hair for straightening). Then use AG Set It Straight or Redken Align - put a dime sized amount in while the hair is wet and then blowdry. Before you flat iron, once the hair is dry, spray on Redken Hot Sets on each section, then flat iron with the Chi iron, taking small sections and running the comb through it as you go. When you are finished, put TiGi After Party over the whole thing and spray with AG Aerodynamics or Redken Quickdry hairspray. It will be perfect.

Hair blowdrying?

I just got my hair cut and my hair cutter said that I had so much breakage from my straightener that she couldnt even cut it all of. So she sold me some Iron Guard from Chi to use before I straighten my hair so that my hair isnt damaged as much. But I forgot to ask her if I need to put it on before blow drying my hair. So should I? Or is my hair ok if I just blow dry it like I normally do? When I blow dry it, all that it has on it other than water ;) is some thickening moose from Garnier Fructise (sp). Is that enough? Or what should I put on it?

Hair blowdrying?

Use the products before blow drying your hair, this is your shield from the heat.

Hair blowdrying?

A natural hair dry is always best (let it dry without blow drying it). But if you don't have enough time to dry your hair naturally then but a heat protection product. That way your hair will be protected as you dry it and straighten it.

Hair blowdrying?

bow dry it how you usually do. Garnier Fructise, works excellent.

Hair blowdrying?

You should always put the thermal protection cream on when your hair is wet because it protects your hair from the blow drying (which also drys out hair) and the ceramic flat iron. I also suggest using a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner that protects and repairs severely dry hair. Take care of your hair...if not it could fall off. Also drink lots of water...water cures everything ;0)

Hair blowdrying?

Start to baby your poor hair. Try Redken Extreme and moisture and protein treatment: use weekly. Do not shampoo everyday. Use a heat protector before you start to work with any heat. Some of the best are by Redken and Kerastase. Let air dry as much as possiable. Work in small enough section so that you are only flat ironing the section one time. Brush out hair well at night with a soft boar bristle brush. Best of luck.

Does anyone know a good anti-humidity hair product?

I have fine but thick hair. It has gotten curlier recently, it keeps getting worse. The humidity makes it terrible. I just cut it and that made it curlier. There is no point in using a flat iron since it curls right back up (even with a chi). I blow dry it while brushing it w/a paddle brush. And no, I do not want a buzz cut. Please help

Does anyone know a good anti-humidity hair product?

garnier fructis smooth and sleek. its in a green bottle. use the shampoo and conditioner

Does anyone know a good anti-humidity hair product?

theres supposed to be a good one out by schwartzkopf (spelling?) and its a little white bottle with gold writing and a gold top. cant remember the name, but i think its something like glisten. my hairdresser reccommended it, but i havent got round to buying it yet. my hair is curly too.

Hair straightners??

what hair straightner is better GHD or Chi i wanna buy a good straightner that works well which one is better for your hair and makes it look better?? and where can u buy them??

Hair straightners??

Chi all the way! a bit pricey but so worth it. DONT buy from ebay. buy from a local salon and you will have a one year warranty incase anything happens to it and even after a year, Ive heard they will replace it for you if it breaks or anything.

Hair straightners??

GHD

the king of straighteners.

worth every buck.

Hair straightners??

if i could i would recomened a ceramic one it gets hotter then other ones

Hair straightners??

Chi and u can buy them on eBay.com

Hair straightners??

Chi, and get it on Ebay. Save the money, brand new Chi is brand new Chi. But if you want to get it local, and dont mind the price, most of your local salons carry chi now.

Hair straightners??

Just make sure you get a professional one. The ones they sell at Walmart just don't cut it. My best friend is a cosmetologist and I believe hers is a Chi and it's awesome.

Hair straightners??

I went through the same dilemma a while back. I don't know much about the GHD, but I have heard Chi is a good brand. I have some Chi shampoo, and it works really well, but that's beside the point. Any straightener with 100% ceramic plates is good, they don't damage your hair as much. I would say Chi, but again, I don't know much about the GHD. If you are going to buy a good straightener, buy the best one they have, and make sure it has a warranty. (That way you can get the most use of it) It would be better to save a little longer and get the best one. Like I said, get 100% ceramic. If you straighten your hair every day, you should use some type of leave in conditioner, and some heat protecting spray. Email me if you have any more questions... (You can get it at any salon... )

Hair straightners??

Sedu is currently the best straightener out. Followed by Solia, and then GHD. Chi comes in somewhere after. all great.

I have both a Sedu and a Chi, and I like my Sedu so much better.

Hair Question???

So, I'm wanting to not have to rely on my straightener as much ( I own a Chi) and just want to use my hair dryer. After I get out of the shower and put some Chi Silk Infusion stuff in my wet hair and then blow dry it...is that healthy for my hair? Or should I just let my hair air dry? Thank you for your help!

Hair Question???

Blow drying can't be any worse than using a heated hair straightener. You should try to use the warm setting, and use a big round bristle brush to try to get a straighter smoother blow out.

Hair Question???

i think it should be okay if you put that chi silk infusion stuff in your dry hair then blow dry abit. but don't blow dry until every piece of hair is dry just blow dry until 2/3 of your hair is dry. :)

Hair Question???

you will never get it straight enough with just a dryer. they are both harsh. i would let it air dry the night before and straighten it in the morning....or just try wearing it curly.

either way, you still need to be using the flat iron guard in the chi to protect it from the heat. the silk infusion is not enough!

Which in your opinion is the best hair product BRAND, Chi/Biosilk/Redken?

If it's eitheir Chi, Biosilk, or Redken .... can you specify why you like that brand and which products do you use from that specific brand?

Fine thin hair help?

I have fine thin hair that was naturally curly until I ruined it by getting a bad highlight job in June and then a chi permanent straightener in October because I couldn't stand all the breakage and frizz from the highlight as I was trying to grow it out. It's now so greasy and stringy when I get up and I have to wash it daily. It looks so thin and lifeless because my hair was fine and thin anyway. I'm trying to get cuts every 4 weeks and let all the top layers grow out because I want my old hair back. Any suggestions would be appreciated? I've heard henna conditioners help and someone told me to try coconut oil mixed with castor oil before shampooing. Anyone ever heard of this?

Fine thin hair help?

You have to quit washing your hair daily! It's one of the worst things you can for your hair. I know sometimes walking around with dirty, oily hair just isn't an option, so to give the appearance of clean hair without actually cleaning it daily, rub baby power in your hair...especially around the scalp.

Try to avoid hair products, especially gels and sprays while you're giving your hair a break.

Also, avoid "anti-flat" shampoos, they might seem great, especially right after washing, but the next day your hair is once again flat.

If you don't already, start taking a multivitamin. When you do wash, use a deep conditioning shampoo and conditioner. Although you may feel like this weighs your hair down, it's actually strengthening your strands for healthier hair.

Use a comb instead of a brush to comb through wet hair, brushes tend to be harsh on wet hair, so avoid them!

Most importantly, give it time. There are no real hair miracles.

which one of these is the BEST QUALITY hair dryer?

CHI tubo or SEDU ultrapower blowdryer????????

I've always heard that Chi is the best. I worked at a salon (reception) and all the stylists swore by it.

I have really curly/frizzy hair, I was wondering if it was a good idea to buy the remington wet to s

hair straightener, I heard it works on thin hair, but thats not the case, so I was wondering If It would be a good idea to use the wet to straight and then use a regular chi, good idea or not?

I have really curly/frizzy hair, I was wondering if it was a good idea to buy the remington wet to straight...

I have really curly and frizzy (uggggh, it's horrible :' D) hair too, and the wet to straight irons don't work for me. My hair is really thick, and even if you use a really small section of your hair, you still have to use multiple passes of the iron just to dry your hair. If you are planning on straightening you hair quickly from it being initially wet, I would recommend (from personal experience, this is what works for me . . . ) just blow drying your hair. This is usually not a good idea because it makes it sooo frizzy, but this is the most practical solution first if you're going to straighten it anyways. Then, I use the CHI silk infusion and heat treatment set in the red bottle (apply liberally . . . ) and then straighten my hair with the CHI straightener (I use the tourmaline ceramic one, it costs a little more but it is absolutely the best -- and the only -- straightener that works for my hair and it only takes one pass to straighten it). This method could work for you (it does for me . . . and my hair's a beast lol), but I would strongly advise you not to buy a wet to straight iron (as I said, my friend has one and it did NOT work for me at all :( ). I hope this helps you . . . good luck!!!

I have really curly/frizzy hair, I was wondering if it was a good idea to buy the remington wet to straight...

DON'T it didn't work on me try puting your hair on treatment. In sally's beauty supply you could find it.

I have really curly/frizzy hair, I was wondering if it was a good idea to buy the remington wet to straight...

straighten your hair, put in hairspray, then leave in conditioner.

Okay, here's the deal. I need answers from girls with fine thin hair or stylists only.?

I have fine thin hair that has always been fine and thin. It used to be naturally curly too and is now Chi straightened by the professional permanent straightening system, which caused a little breakage, but I already had a LOT of breakage anyway before getting it done due to bad highlights. I cannot and never have been able to not use a hairdryer after washing it as it is SOOOO fine and thin. So I'm kind-of tired of all the answers saying to not dry my hair. I can let it airdry almost all the way and then blow dry it for about 1-2 minutes carefully, but if I airdry it it is wavy, THIN THIN THIN and still looks wet. And, the bangs are growing out, so I have to use a curling iron or flat iron on the bangs ONLY. Are there any other fine thin headed girls out there that have any suggestions? OR, if you are a well trained hair stylist, please give me some tips. I'm using Nutri-Ox shampoo and conditioner and taking prenatal vitamins and biotin and drinking soy milk too.

Okay, here's the deal. I need answers from girls with fine thin hair or stylists only.?

Nioxin will stimulate new hair growth, I would try that. take a look at your diet too. You might not get enough nutrients. Too much caffine and alcohol can play a big part as well. Sounds like there is alot of breakage so I would get trims every 3 weeks or you could get a cute new shaggy bob. ( Cameron Diazs new hair cut that is dark). Try getting low lights put in your hair, it will give your hair more depth. Hair is very weak when it is wet so finger dry it until it is 90% dry and then brush it out with a brush and dry it. Also, if you are really insecure about it, you could get extensions to thicken your hair up. Hope this helps!

Okay, here's the deal. I need answers from girls with fine thin hair or stylists only.?

crop it off and start again, you will look much better with short healthy hair than longer broken off hair.

there are plenty of thickening products out there but the best base for any of them is to start with good hair (hair is good condition could be tong curled all over or root lift curled to give it more body)

Okay, here's the deal. I need answers from girls with fine thin hair or stylists only.?

i dunno wether u would apply it on ur hair ..... but it worked for as my hair is curly nd very thin but now its become a fluffffffff so here it is a herbal home remedy blend chick peas ( sort of a gram ) nd lemon , wen u blend it should b *** a paste nd den before havin a bath apply it all ova ur sculp nd hair nd leave for bout 2 - 3 hrs longer u wait better it becomes. nd den later on wash ur hair properly. good luck in dat.....

Okay, here's the deal. I need answers from girls with fine thin hair or stylists only.?

i have the same problem but my hair is so thin i have a bald spot on the top , i use the same shampoo , but i blow dry my hair , it makes mine look thicker when i do but my hair is natural curly , are you taking vitamin E , it is for hair , another thing is the shorter i cut my hair the thicker it looks , try useing a defuser it lifts your hair when your drying it ,

Okay, here's the deal. I need answers from girls with fine thin hair or stylists only.?

I have thin thin thin hair and the only way I get a good results is by not washing it every day...skip a day......and if it looks TOO ooly, you can put a bit of talc (smalla mount just patt on head) on your hair to take of the shine....but once you get into the routine of washing it every other day your hair will get healthier and it will show.......

You say you are taking prenatal vitamins....and soy milk....if your problem is that serious maybe you should consult a dermatologist and began a treatment and get it over with once and for all

Okay, here's the deal. I need answers from girls with fine thin hair or stylists only.?

Try using a volumizing shampoo and conditioner herbal essence or tresemme are really great. they worked really well for my thin hair.

Okay, here's the deal. I need answers from girls with fine thin hair or stylists only.?

I'm not sure what your question is as you have not specified any "direct" question about your hair. But I am presuming by what you have described that you are looking for a way to style it. I have the same hair as you, and I too must blow dry it. My hair is currently just past the shoulder. To give your hair volume, use a product for volume, and apply it to the roots only while the hair is still wet. To try to keep your hair healthy, when you wash, use shampoo only on your scalp and roots. When you condition, pay close attention to the ends. Also, you can get some leave in products. I am part of a forum that is geared towards hair care, and they suggest that you don't even use shampoo, just condition. You can do this and still keep your hair looking great because conditioners have a small amount of sulphates in them (soaps). If you condition only (CO method), then you will need to leave the product on your hair a little longer than you would shampoo. Be sure that you massage the conditioner into your scalp. You must rinse really well. At the end of rinsing, try to rinse with cold water, because this closes the hair cuticle.

Okay, here's the deal. I need answers from girls with fine thin hair or stylists only.?

I have thin hair and I have overprocessed my hair in the past so I have been there. Unfortunately, the damage will have to grow out as there is no real way of fixing it, but everything else you are doing will help your hair from getting further damage. Get an ionic hairdryer if you must blow dry, as it is less damaging and dryers quicker and cooler. Try to use a velcro roller in your bangs while blowdrying instead of a hot curling iron. I found that if I wash my hair at night an hour or so before going to bed, I can style my hair the next mornig with a little bit of misting and the blowdryer for just a minute or so.

Good luck!

Okay, here's the deal. I need answers from girls with fine thin hair or stylists only.?

Go to a actual stylist and pay to have a conditioning treatment. Then have it styled and tell her you want to know how to make it more Heather and look fuller. That is what I did and the suggestions took care of the problems I was having.

Okay, here's the deal. I need answers from girls with fine thin hair or stylists only.?

I have the same problem..but mine was bleached twice in a year, dyed a few times also. Of course you shouldn't dry your hair because of further breakage, but it you must..1-2 mins are okay. That is if you can't wait for your hair to dry completely..ie: if you are going out. I would try Infusium Moisterizing Shampoo/Conditioner. Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum after drying hair gives it shine and luster..trust me the serum makes MY hair look shiny. After not being able to blow dry my once healthy hair after the relentless hair dying..I am growing it out.

Okay, here's the deal. I need answers from girls with fine thin hair or stylists only.?

I have fine thin hair. I take gelitan vitamins and I wash my hair daily I have to let the conditioner set in my hair for two mins. i also keep blonde highlights in my hair it makes it feel fuller and the blonde keeps it from looking wet or oily. I let my hair air dry until it is almost dry then I blow it dry. While i blow it dry I brush it away from my head and it makes it seem fuller. I hope that helps!!

Okay, here's the deal. I need answers from girls with fine thin hair or stylists only.?

if you cut your hair shorter and add lots of layers, your hair would look much fuller and healthier. Also i suggest using Aussie Volume Mousse-Gel Fusion, which can easily be found in walmart. And you could use volumizing shampoos %26amp; conditioners. Hope I helped

Im looking for a good hair straightener? Dont care too much about the price?

i like chi and bedhead straightners.

Im looking for a good hair straightener? Dont care too much about the price?

For Christmas my stepdad's mom got me a Jose Eber ceramic hair straightener.

I don't know where you can buy one (Except online of course), I never heard of it before.

But it definitley works wonders. : )

It made my hair feel soft and silky after straightening and it didn't crease, curl, wave or anything all day.

I use the CHI and love it! I also use several of the products too. I have tight curls and no one would ever know it. It doesn't fry or break my hair and my hair is smooth and shiny.

same here

ive asked salons

and they all recommended CHI

my best bet is CHI

even though you havent heard good comments

it might be because everyone has different reactions

to different hair products

But since you have been asking about different CHI straighteners and they didnt seem to be the best,

maybe you can ask a salonist for better advice on your hair type.

My hair (thick frizzy and curly) love Sedu. i heard good things about Solia too.

Im looking for a good hair straightener? Dont care too much about the price?

Do NOT get CHI. my family went thru 5 CHI in 3 yrs. Chi breaks within a few months and you have to pay $35 plus shipping to get it fixed.

U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission just announced a recall of Chi flat irons due to fire and burn hazards:

As a stylist, I have used a lot of flat irons, including Sedu, HAI, Infrashine, Chi, Paul Mitchell, Solia, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss GHD, T3, Kenta etc.

In terms of performance:

The best ones are: Sedu, Kenta, Solia, Infrashine, GHD. These are top of the line professional brands

Above average: CHI, HAI, Paul Mitchell,

Average: T3, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss

Worst: Conair, Vidal Sassoon, Revlon, Bed Head etc. These are cheap consumer brands that you will find in drugstore. If you care about your hair, do NOT buy them.

Hair straightner??

My hair isn't wavy or curly but its not straight. Its kinda poofy and it has a wave towards the bottom. How can i make it less poofy? and since my hair is pretty straight anyway should i go for a cheaper hair straighter or go for a CHI or some other high end brand?

I LOVE the chi I use it on all my clients. Just make sure you use a heat protector first and then when your done use a glossing polish to give your hair more shine...=]

Hair straightner??

If you're going to use it on a regular basis get the dearer one because they work better and last longer.

Frizzy hair help!!?

Ok lately it's been getting really humid where I live which makes my hair totally frizz up....I use Chi shampoo and straighten it eveey morning, and even put the same brand Chi de-frizzer on it but it doesnt work....anyone got any suggestions that really, truly work??? Please only suggest things if you've tried the product and it's worked.....I need it to last all day through school too!! All i want is smooth, un frizzy hair. Best answer is waiting!!!

Frizzy hair help!!?

I use John Friedas frizz-ease.

If you can, don't straighten your hair every day, I don't anymore. It is so harmful to your hair and will make everything worse.

Frizzy hair help!!?

I recommend putting hair spray so it will stay straight.

Frizzy hair help!!?

My hair gets frizzy too. I use Garnier's soothing milk on my hair when it's wet before I style it and then I use a shine anti frizz serum (Pantene's good).

Frizzy hair help!!?

Rinse your hair in cold water. When your hair is dry, mist some spray conditioner and pat hair down. Or try some frizz serum. =)

Frizzy hair help!!?

before u dry, put gel on it. it works for me.

Frizzy hair help!!?

If you have wavey or natural curly hair, dont use anything with alcohol in the ingredients. Natural curly hair is dry by nature, it needs more moisturizers, a lot of gels dont have alcohol. The alcohol dries the hair out more. And if your straighten it every morning with heat, that's making it worst. Try gel and your hair dryer with kool shot button.

the frizz-ease line is good also. I use TRESemme`

Frizzy hair help!!?

Don't buy anything. Mix a little good lotion with water in hands. Working that in will weight your hair down a little, but stop the frizz. Not a lot though. By the way, lotion is not gross to put in your hair. Just read what is in hairspray. That is what's gross.

Frizzy hair help!!?

Use frizz ease serum when hair is wet

I have really curly hair that frizzes, straightening fixes it temporarily, any advice??

I have naturally curly hair- when I was younger it was straight, in my teens it turned curly- but i HATE it curly, and I love straightenting it with my Farouk Chi Straightening Iron ($94.99 on Amazon.com, its #1!!) but after I take a shower, it's "back to curly again." Has anyone ever had a permanent straightenting? I'm considering doing that, but does it make your hair forever stick-straight or can it ever get wavy? Is a 3-months straight solution I can get for $30 from Walgreens a better idea?

I have really curly hair that frizzes, straightening fixes it temporarily, any advice??

i would get it professionally relaxed

you will pay more money for it to be performed

but it will be so nice

and you wont have to worry about it.

I have really curly hair that frizzes, straightening fixes it temporarily, any advice??

i can give u a 1 to 2 week solution if u can simply iron ur hair on a iron board...dont just wet it just moist some and then iron it u will have an excellent result without fear

I have really curly hair that frizzes, straightening fixes it temporarily, any advice??

getting a prem doesnt work for every1. take it from me. i have curly hair then i got a straight perm (which was suppose to last 6 months) it broke and damaged my hair. dont even dare to get wavy because ur hair is curly, that will definitlly be a problem! just strenghten it but if u really want straight hair its up to u. remember wat i said

I have really curly hair that frizzes, straightening fixes it temporarily, any advice??

I heard that the 3 month straight solution eventually burns your hair up, it will become more frizzy and it will have alot of split ends....You'll end up having to cut all your hair! Go on wet look gel, just remember that all the real straight haired girls want it curly ,u're lucky in a way, just wash your hair, towel dry ,apply some wet looking gel and off you go gorgeously!

I have really curly hair that frizzes, straightening fixes it temporarily, any advice??

I am mixed black and white and have always had a problem with my hair. Eventially I had it straightened with a "perm" (a black person's relaxer). It relaxes your hair straight, but if you don't know what you're doing it is best to have it done or have someone help you! I've never used a 3month solution for $30 likeyou're talking about. What I use is only $6-$10 at most. I even know of white girls who use it and works fine! If you have fine hair then it's best to buy a children's solution. You'll still have problems with frizz and stuff, and YES it can go back to wavy. My hair waves up when it's wet, just not as bad as before, and I still have a BAD frizz problem when it's humid outside or when it rains. Try using frizz serums by Frizz-Ease. They work wonders, before you try to do something more permanent!

I have really curly hair that frizzes, straightening fixes it temporarily, any advice??

If that's what you want I had a friend say the best way to go is Japanese straightening. It's very expensive but it last a long time even through washing. I don't know where it's offered though. Also I too have curly sometime frizzy hair, and I think you should embrace it. Try mousse and a diffuser it makes curly hair look great and not frizzy. I also straighten my hair sometimes and the Corriolus straightener works better than CHi,( I have both) but I still think curly hair is way sexier. But it's you choice

I have really curly hair that frizzes, straightening fixes it temporarily, any advice??

Do not straighten your hair permanently!

It will ruin it !

Just accept the fact that you have curly hair or buy the best hair straightener you can !

Are ther any hair straighteners.............?

.........that work just as well as the CHI straightener that works good on curly hair? %26amp; Please could you tell me where I could buy it? Oh, and I can't buy anything online so don't say ebay or something ok? thanks!!!

Are ther any hair straighteners.............?

oh my gosh, DON'T get the conair ones.

they will damage your hair so much. trust me. i have one, and my hair's like..ugh.

uhm..if you go to a hair salon, then try getting a solia..they work on damp hair, and they get really good reviews on folica (website) or you could get a T3, and it works on wet hair

Are ther any hair straighteners.............?

the wet to straight one or and connair ones

Are ther any hair straighteners.............?

The Remington wet2straight straightener is really good and not that expensive.

My flattening iron leaves my hair smelly?

I've had it for awhile now and I really can't remember how bad my hair smelled before, but I cannot straighten my hair without it having a nasty smell. It's not like a burning smell, it's that combined with.. I can't even describe it. My hair will smell great out of the shower but I have to blow dry it straight then use the iron. After the nasty smell goes on my hair, the shampoo fragrance is lost forever! I am biracial (black and white) so it's big and curly.. it's quite a process. I am considering getting the Chi iron but I'm not sure what type of hair works well with it. Any suggestions for my type of hair? Or your experiences with the Chi?

My flattening iron leaves my hair smelly?

Could just be the quality of the iron going sour. If you've had it for a while, it definitely sounds like it just needs to be replaced.

If you don't use a product on your hair to protect it yet, definitely get one before starting to use the Chi. Otherwise, repetitive use will fry your hair.

It's better than smelly though. I've never had a problem with my Chi and I've had it for two years.

My flattening iron leaves my hair smelly?

Chi is amazing!!! and it is better for your hair because it will cause less damage. it also heats up faster than any iron i have ever used and will straighten any hair. its kinda expensive, but i think they are worth it.

My flattening iron leaves my hair smelly?

i have a chi. it works very well on all hair types. you can also adjust the temp. on some.

to get the smell out use chi shine infusion. its what i use. it smells really good. and it works [but dont put too much in one spot itll make your hair greasy.]

My flattening iron leaves my hair smelly?

The straightening iron I use has ceramic clay on the straightening part. You could try getting one of those, but they're kind of expensive!

My flattening iron leaves my hair smelly?

I did that to my hair once with a new iron and it took about a week to go away. I think it is from being too hot.

My flattening iron leaves my hair smelly?

Hi There

With all the blowdrying and straightening, you are actually burning your hair by applying too much heat. Hair is protein and that is the smell you get!

You may want to avoid one heat process step by airdrying your hair first and then using the flat iron. You may also want to adjust the heat to medium instead of high.

If you need to use the blowdryer, make sure you hold the drier at least 6 inches away from your hair and scalp.

There are professional products which can be applied to the hair to protect it from the extreme heat, so if you want a personal answer or a product recommendation, pl email me.

My flattening iron leaves my hair smelly?

I've never used the chi however I've had the same problem with my straightener. it happened to me when i had used it for a while and it was a wet2straight. hair straightener so sometimes i'd use it on damp hair when i was in a rush. i'm thinking that might have added to the smell + it burning my hair. i bought a new one and it's been fine now however. and from everyone elses comments the chi sounds good!

it's frustrating having the burnt hair smell. i understand that one! =/

My flattening iron leaves my hair smelly?

This is because most of the really good ceramic flat irons use infa-red light for the thermal heat. This is why your hair may smell burned. Try spraying a light thermal spray to each section before using your flat iron. This will protect it from the heat as well as add a pleasant fragrance.

My flattening iron leaves my hair smelly?

I have the Chi Iron and im Part Cuban so I understand..

Whenever you apply heat to your hair it has that smell, its not a burning smell but somewhat similiar..

I have wavy hair and I can get my hair bone straight with the Chi..

This is what you do..

First buy the Chi Oil. Its a serum that softens/soothes the hair that makes it excellent for flatironing. It gives you silky bouncy hair.

Steps:

Wash and condition your hair.

Towel Dry hair.

Take a quarter sized amount of Chi Oil and comb through your hair.

Let it air dry if you have time or blowdry your hair without the comb.

While you dry, brush your hair with a paddlebrush from the root to the end. This prestraightens the hair.

Once your done, part your hair into sections. I suggest two at the bottom, two in the middle, and multiple ones at the crown to the forehead.

Take one section and add HALF A DIME sized chi oil to each section.Blow dry carefully until smooth and then Flat Iron from root to tip. Make sure you get as close as you can to the root so you get rid of the curl as much as possible.

Do this all over your head.

Its easier to this in layers because you get close to the root then blowdrying your whole head at the same time. It makes the hair less thicker and smoother.

As you blowdry, put a slight bump in the end, kinda like how Aaliyah wears her hair. Too straight hair looks limp.

If you want to maintain the straightness, wrap your hair with bobbypins at night, like a beehive. Wear a scarf over it. The heat from your scalp and tightness of the wrap gives your hair extra straightness and keeps it smooth as you sleep..

In the morning take it out and style.

Biracial hair or any hair highly benefits from the Chi because the chi is a superhot ceramic flat iron. Its what the professional use.

I suggest getting the red one. The Black one is okay but the red one is the newest one.

I love the Chi, it makes my hair salon like when Im inbetween salon appointments or if I go to the beach and have to redo my hair when I get home.

If you get the Chi you shouldnt use it everday because its really hot and the heat can do damage if used incorrectly, If you have to, use it only on parts of your hair that really need attention.

Make sure you invest in a good conditioner as well like Biolage or Keracare.

For best results get the Chi Oil, its a little expensive but it is worth it!!!!! Your local black salon should have it.

Ebay has Chi Irons always on sale. I would buy it from there. They minimum price is like $120 unless you find a good deal.

Hope this helps!!!!!!

My flattening iron leaves my hair smelly?

This can come from your iron itself or buildup deep in your hair. Either way, using a protective serum when you flat iron may help with the aroma and will definately yield the best results.

As a salon pro, I hear a lot about Chi products. They are truly top of the line and exceptionally good styling tools. However, they are very expensive. At the least, a flat iron with solid ceramic plates will provide great results. I use a Cricket brand professional flat iron that has tourmaline infused ceramic plates. This cost me 1/4 what the Chi iron would have and provides excellent results. It also advisable to find an iron with multiple heat settings. The less heat required to get your desired results means less damage to your hair.

Always use a thermal protective product to reduce damage, tame frizz, and add shine. The same company that makes the Chi iron also makes Biosilk hair serum... a great product for what you are trying to do. Biosilk is also quite expensive, but a generic version is available at Sally Beauty Supply (www.sallybeauty.com). I use this generic version on my salon clients and they can't tell a difference! Another great serum is Paul Mitchell's Sper Skinny Serum. This one is a bit thicker, but a little goes a long way and it smells like green apples.

Best of luck!

My flattening iron leaves my hair smelly?

it's not all about the iron. use a ceramic iron they work the best. and a straightening cream that will help keep your hair from getting damage which will help to eliminate the burning smell. use the cream after you wash your hair and blow dry with a diffuser or let air dry COMPLETELY and then flat iron it. not only will it help with the smell and damage but will also make your hair much smoother and silky. i used to have the same problem (i also have biracial -half asian half black- hair). luck.

My flattening iron leaves my hair smelly?

Ive heard good things about CHI IRON! Its gets the job done and gets hot like fire. Sometimes a slight coating of Kemi Oil gets rid of the smell. Beauty is pain.....yes indeed.

My flattening iron leaves my hair smelly?

I've heard a lot of good things about it, although I hear it's expensive too. You should try some hair perfume - they have it at drug/grocery stores.

My flattening iron leaves my hair smelly?

try Braun new range, got the Ion shine in it, it wouldn't leave yr hair stink, dry or damage, its work for me and I've use it every days

Hair Trouble?

I straighten my hair every morning and it looks great when I walk out the door but by the time I get to school its all unstraight at the ends, I have a CHI and use a little hairspray, what shoudl I do?

Hair Trouble?

You need to use a smoothing system on your hair along with the Chi to straighten your hair. I like BioSilk or Matrix Sleek, Redken Smooth Down, then use all the products in thse lines, shampoo contitioner, smoothing cream, lock in spray and oil shine. If you use a whome line they all work together so your hair will stay smooth until you shampoo it again

Hair Trouble?

Use gel or a different hairspray and maybe try using more hairspray..good luck by the way.

What's the best treatment for dry, frizzy hair from flat-ironing?

I flat-iron my hair everyday and would like to get a professional product to treat my hair. (LIke a 10-20 minute leave in treatment). Any suggestions?

(I use Chi products to wash, condition and a spray on product just before I flat iron.)

Thanks!

What's the best treatment for dry, frizzy hair from flat-ironing?

Go to your salon they have wonderful products to keep your hair from getting damaged and stuff to help repair it.

What's the best treatment for dry, frizzy hair from flat-ironing?

I use Garnier's 3 minutes masque It's for frizzy and dry hair

What's the best treatment for dry, frizzy hair from flat-ironing?

Use 'Aussie - 3 minute miracle' conditioner - wonderful for deep-conditioning your hair. They also make shampoos and conditioners for dry hair which you can use regularly. It's important to deep condition your hair at least once a week if you're using straighteners. There is also a product called 'Frizz-Ease' which is a serum or spray which is great for frizziness.

What's the best treatment for dry, frizzy hair from flat-ironing?

Make sure you use a good heat protectant before flat-ironing. The one you're using might not be strong enough. Then follow-up with an anti-frizz silicone after styling.

You might want to try simply stylin silk. It's a light-weight pure silicone that doesn't have alcohol or water in it. It coats the hair to prevent heat or humidity from penetration, so you can use it for protecting from heat and for preventing frizz. It's hard to find in stores, so check some salons in your area or go to their website www.simplystylinhair.com.

What is the maximum weight a Long hair Chihuahua can reach?

I heard that short hair chi's only reach up to like 7lbs?

What is the maximum weight a Long hair Chihuahua can reach?

the akc standard is no bigger than 6lb I believe. But if it is poorly bred (bigger than standard) or overweight- they can reach 10-12lb or more.

What is the maximum weight a Long hair Chihuahua can reach?

It also depends on the size of the dog. Whether it's a long hair or short hair doesn't make any difference.

What is the maximum weight a Long hair Chihuahua can reach?

on the www do a search for Chihuahua breed standard

use some incentive girl!

What is the maximum weight a Long hair Chihuahua can reach?

Breed standard is up to 6 lb. Of course some will be larger than the standard. I have seen pix of a VERY OVERWEIGHT chihuahua that was 25 lb!! Breed standard is the same whether the dog is long coat or smooth coat.

What is the maximum weight a Long hair Chihuahua can reach?

When your Chihuahua is fully grown it will be 6 pounds max and be 7-8 inches max.

What is the maximum weight a Long hair Chihuahua can reach?

the weight difference is the same for boththe long hair and short hair.

the standard says they should not be over 7 pounds however they can actually at times fall back to the larger breed tehy were bred down from. I personally know of one that grew to be a 25 pound chihuahua.this was definately a purebred AKC reg dog.

Teh breeder had 8 generations back and all but this one never got over 6 pounds even his sister was full grown at 41/2 pounds and a show dog .

Give me pros & cons to buying a chi original or chi turbo- which is better???

Any information u have would be great...cheapest place to buy an authentic chi iron? I have medium/short hair-best size 3/4 or 1"?

Give me pros %26amp; cons to buying a chi original or chi turbo- which is better???

Both are wonderful and if you used the two you would notice a diferents at all. Really any CHI is great, I've never used one yet I wasn't happy w/.

The size is no biggy either, only 1/4 in. in size.

You want the best deal check ebay, I have seen several CHI irons sell very cheaper, about the price of wholesale.

As long as you handle your CHI w/ care and take proper care of it you'll have it forever!!

Good Luck,

Stylist of 9 yrs.

Give me pros %26amp; cons to buying a chi original or chi turbo- which is better???

I am a professional hairstylist and I have used both products. They are the same as far as performance, the only difference being the thermostat on the turbo CHI. The turbo CHI is better for coarser, thicker hair that would require more heat to straighten. The best place to purchase is at Trade Secrets, Beauty Express or Regis. They have a lifetime warranty on the irons.

What is the best type of hair straightner and/or flat iron?

okay, soo i really want to buy a straightner but i really don't know what to buy I've been looking at everyone else's questions and anwers but they just CON-FUSE me !

I'm the type of girl who's had some good hair days and some very horrible ones and i find that when i take a shower at night and i sleep on it, in the morning its all wavy so basically what i'm trying to say is "whichever way i sleep on my hair at night is how it turns out in the morning" and its really quite annoying.

I've been thinking about getting that forever-young hair straightener at metro, but i don't know(= i have no clue about the difference between a flat iron, a ghd, or chi and whats better pleeaase help. thnk-you %26amp;love you!

(sorry if this is uhh, kinda.. sorta.. a bit long =P)

What is the best type of hair straightner and/or flat iron?

I'm an absolute fanatic of straighteners and when it comes to ironers, money is everything. If you want a straightener that does the job and you want excellent results above everything else, then you should be aiming for one between $200-$300 (over $300 is a bit absurd, unless money's not a problem for you!). First and foremost you should look for an ironer which has ceramic/titanium metal plates as these do not damage your hair like stainless steel ones. I have been told by a sales assistant at Shavers Shop that GHD plates are not full ceramic but are just coated in ceramic which will eventually chip and wear off over time (not sure if this is true) but I use silver bullet titanium/ceramic plates which is beatuiful! ($220)

I suggest you read the information on this site, there is far too much to talk about when it comes to ironers and I'm certainly not going to type it all here:

http://www.body4real.co.uk/pages.php?pag...

(Scroll down to where it says "How to choose a hair straightener?")

What is the best type of hair straightner and/or flat iron?

I recently bought a new straightener. The brand is Cortex Int. It cost me my whole first and last paycheck. I got it on half price on a one-day sale for $200, so i guess originally it's about $400. It works amazingly, and it's pink!

What is the best type of hair straightner and/or flat iron?

The best way is to go to a barber and ask about the hair straightening. your hair will stay straight even in weeks but it sometimes doesn't work. And it cost a lot of money. About maybe one hundred dollars. But then i suggest you not get one because it can harm your hair. And pulling your hair too much cause pressure to your hair and it can fall off. :(

Just go to a Barber and ask if they do the hair straightening things.

But then at some stores like Rite aid have hair straighteners that doesn't make your hair straight longer if it gets wet and it cost about thirty something dollars or twenty

What is the best type of hair straightner and/or flat iron?

The straightner i bought is very affordable. I gotmine at Sally Beauty Store. It is a Jilbere Porcelain Series. It is better for your hair because it stops u from burning and damaging it. It has different settings, and in the box it tells u wat setting to use for ur type of hair.

Whats the best inexpesive hair straightener?!?

i am in need of a new straightener, and was wondering which are the best? i don't want a chi, ghd, or sedu even tho i know those are great brands...just too expensive. i don't straighten my hair everyday so i need a nonexpensive but good quality hair straightener.

really my max price would be about $80 but less would be great.

also which ones last the longest??

Whats the best inexpesive hair straightener?!?

Conair

b4 i got my chi starightner i had a conair one i got it at CVS.

its awsomeee

i still use it, when i go places overnight i bring that.

it lastes a long time too

mine was $30

Whats the best inexpesive hair straightener?!?

Sedu is the best. That's what my hair stylist use. I've tried many flat irons (CHI, TCP, T3 and GHD).

Whats the best inexpesive hair straightener?!?

Sedu works great for my THICK, FRIZZY hair. it is the only iron that let my hair stay straight for days even in high humidity (new york city).

Whats the best inexpesive hair straightener?!?

As a stylist, I have used a lot of flat irons/hair straighteners, including Sedu, Hai, Infrashine, Chi, Paul Mitchell, Solia, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss Ghd, T3, Kenta etc. You should get a Professional hair straightener, they style much better and faster, and most importantly, they protect your hair.

In terms of performance:

The best ones are: Sedu, Kenta, Solia, Infrashine, Ghd. These are top of the line professional brands

Above average: Chi, Hai, Paul Mitchell,

Average: T3, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss

Below Average: Conair, Vidal Sassoon, Revlon, Bed Head etc. These are cheap consumer brands that you will find in drugstore. If you care about your hair, do NOT buy them.

Are the Chi irons really worth the price?

I have a cermaic one that gets hot, forgot the exact temp., it was abt $60. So is it worth it to spend another $100 or so on a Chi? Do they really work better? Keep hair straighter, flatter?

Are the Chi irons really worth the price?

Yes! I used a Hot Tools (not cheap, but not expensive $50+) brand ceramic iron until I got my Chi and I totally noticed a difference when I switched. My advice would be go to ebay, that is where I got mine. I paid $86 and that was with shipping and insurance. I have had it for almost 2 years and it still works. They are still in that price range to this date because I was recently looking for one for my sister. There are plenty of Buy It Nows that total under $90 with shipping. The best search term to use is 'chi iron -infusion' so you don't pull up the non-Chi irons selling with the Chi infusion stuff. Anyway, hope this helps you out!

Are the Chi irons really worth the price?

YES!

GET ONE.

THEY ARE PRICY..

BUT THEY ARE WORTH IT.

I'VE HAD MINE FOR 2 YEARS, AND IT WORKS SOOOO WELL!

YOUR HAIR WILL STAY STRAIGHT ALL DAY

GOOD CHOICE :)

Are the Chi irons really worth the price?

Yes! They are amazing! The gold plated CHI is 100.00 and definatly worth it! your going to love it. its what many professionals use! ^_^

I have had mine for a while, and it still works amazing!!

It heats up so quick and you don't have to keep going over your hair, one stroke and that section of your hair is done!

You don't have to keep doing it all day either, it stays put, it stays straight until you shower!

Are the Chi irons really worth the price?

OMG! It workes SOOOOOOOO good! It is amazing!

I can't beleive how good it works!

It is SOOO worth the price

It is better for your hair then the other ones!! Get the pink one at Target! It's cheaper then the blue one

http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/sr=...

or the blue one

http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/sr=...

Are the Chi irons really worth the price?

CHIs work amazing. If you already have one that works great and you don't have the money to spend then don't. But if you have the money to spend then get it. I own two and they have lasted me for years. I owned another one, but when I took it to Europe I accidently plugged it in wrong and FRIED it! (so got a free one hehe). It heats up very quickly, stays heated, and keeps hair stick straight all day. If you decide to buy one, buy the one inch.

Are the Chi irons really worth the price?

Heck yea. I have one and I absolutely love it. Will straghten the most curly of hair! My hair is very thick and frizzy and it makes my hair very very straight! The absolute best hair straightener ever. My bro-in-law does hair and he's worked in very high end salans before and that's what he uses!

Are the Chi irons really worth the price?

i like corilios pro.

it makes your hair straight and silky.

i think its worth the extra money

Are the Chi irons really worth the price?

chi's are the BEST!!! i have really thick hair and it straightens it in minutes! and yeah, it's really worth the price! it heats up in like 3 minutes and it doesn't burn your hair! it's the shiznits! Live N' Learn, yo.

Are the Chi irons really worth the price?

omg!!

yes

its totally worth it!!

i have thick wavy hair and when i straighten its completely straight people sometimes even ask me if its real and i say yeah

its the magic of CHI

:p

Chi????????????

is the chi straightener good?

i know about how it breaks easily and everything, but i just want to know that apart from that does it straighten good?

and im talking about getting STRAIGHT AS A PIN HAIR!

thanks!

Chi????????????

The chi is awesome!!! I've had mine for 3 years and I've never had a problem! If you want super straight hair either go with the Chi or a marcel (not sure about the spelling)

Chi????????????

chi's are the absolute best! go for the one inch

Chi????????????

you must rember that the way of the samurai is to keep a strong and resiliant Chi.

your inner Chi is more important than your hair, shave it off.

i'm joking :D

Chi????????????

no the CHI IS NOT GOOD NOT GOOD AT ALL NO!!!!!!!

Chi????????????

HI

I have the chi and i love it my stylist recommended it and its great. I have really curly natural hair and the chi gets it pin staright. It also looks very shiny aftrewards

2 things about the chi

you have to keep it plugged in for a while to get it to heat up well.

make sure you use a protective cream so you dont burn your hair

they also come in lots of great colors

mine hasnt broken yet and ive had it for 3 years

Chi????????????

Chi is really good. I met with a rep from Farouk (they make chi) today. You have to look at it this way.....when you buy a new dishwasher, it comes with a warranty correct? The warranty is given not becuase they expect it to have a defect, but becuase all electrical appliances big or small, can be defective. Approx 10% of all Chi irons sold go back to the manufacturor with a defect. Considering 4.1 million chi irons were sold last year, I would say 10% is a pretty reasonable number.

Chi was the original flat iron and its still the best!

Ps - to the person who says the chi burned their hair and made it white.....its funny how an iron that only gets to 180C could do that to your hair....chi uses LESS heat then any other iron on the market. Nice Try tho

Help! Hair won't straighten!?

I JUST bought a new CHI straightner and it seems my hair wont straighten without going over the peice about 5 times.

When I blow dry it first it gts real curly and poofy. I do u frizz stuff and straightening gel stuff from sudio v or whatever. HELP!

Help! Hair won't straighten!?

yes u do have to keep going over it a few times.. i have a CHI also. i've read everywhre that it's the best one.. =T. what i do is try to dry my hair naturally... then put a CHI serum on, or conditioner, and wait a few minutes to soak in, and then use the CHI.

also, if ur in a bind, blow dry ur hair, but try to leave in a towel for 5 minutes, then naturally dry for 5-10 minutes, then blow dry.

good luck!

Help! Hair won't straighten!?

Maybe you should try straightening your hair when it has more natural oils. It's hard to do when you just got out of the shower or blow dried it. Wait a few more hours or days before you use the straightener. A CHI?! Wow, that's nice. I only have a Conair, but it still works for me!

Help! Hair won't straighten!?

Invest in some GHD hair straighteners- well worth it.

Help! Hair won't straighten!?

you sure they aint broke ?

Help! Hair won't straighten!?

when u straighten spray sprits on it and it will stay

Help! Hair won't straighten!?

If you earn enough money go to the Walgreen's nearest to you and buy a hair straightener.

Help! Hair won't straighten!?

I have perfected the Chi straigthening game. First, when drying your hair, use a dab of Chi smoothing serum. Apply a second dab once hair is completely dry. Then, it is a MUST that you use a styling spray. It protects your hair from the Chi's heat, it adds great shine to your hair, and it aids with the straightening process. I recommend "Soya Want Flat Hair Spray," by Healthy Sexy Hair. Then, you need to section your hair and straigthen in using small sections. It works best if you pile all your hair on top of your head with a clip and single out a section at a time with a comb. Spray each section, use the Chi, and in no time, you will have great, straight hair!

Good Luck!

Help! Hair won't straighten!?

just leave it for a few hours by towel drying it

and then go layer by layer(clip up all of your hair except the bottem layer...when that's done take downa nother...and so on....and so on

Help! Hair won't straighten!?

the thing is you have to keep trying products...evey product doent work for every one...for me biosilk by farouk helps...

or possibly you dont have the heat setting high enough.

Isn't this CHI too INEXPENSIVE? does it mean it's bad?

http://cgi.ebay.com/CHI-INFUSION-PRO-CER...

if you have tried it...would you please tell me your opinion about it

thanks in advance!

Isn't this CHI too INEXPENSIVE? does it mean it's bad?

You're not reading the description close enough. It's NOT a chi. The fluid they're selling with it the Chi Infusion or w/e IS CHI. Look at the description AND the iron more carefully, and you'll see what I'm saying.

"* The New DEOGRA Brand with Pure 100% Solid Ceramic Plate with Tourmaline coating * An Evolution Technology In 2006"

Chis on ebay go for about retail price anyways. Most people just put a bottle of that Chi Infusion stuff to trick people into buying the iron thinking its a Chi.

Isn't this CHI too INEXPENSIVE? does it mean it's bad?

CHI IS $100 THAT IS EXPENSIVE!

Isn't this CHI too INEXPENSIVE? does it mean it's bad?

That's a good straightener, but I would be careful buying it off of eBay. My friend recently bought what was advertised on ebay as a Chi Farouk Straightener, with pictures of the straightener and everything. But when she got it, it was a GHD straightener (which she said was terrible) and all it had was a little bottle of Chi Silk Fusion treatment. So be careful!

Isn't this CHI too INEXPENSIVE? does it mean it's bad?

The flat iron isn;t a CHI, the product that you are getting with the flat iron is CHI. Becareful when using ebay, they portray alot of their products wrong and can be real decieving... If you scroll down and see the other items that they are selling in their store you might find a chi in there. I have the pink one and it works really good.

Isn't this CHI too INEXPENSIVE? does it mean it's bad?

CHI is $150 where i bought it!

and it works great!

i love it

and its not inexpensive

its expensive!

regular ones only cost around 20 to 40 dollars

so i recommend u try it! the heat makes ur hair

softer :]

How can i keep my hair straight???

my hair is not curly but not soo straight either kind of wave i use the chi flat iron but my hair dnt last that long straight!!i want something that could stay longer and shine what can i use???

How can i keep my hair straight???

Go wavy! Straightening is damaging and naturally wavy hair is gorgeous. Visit the websites for tips on styiling naturally wavy hair!

How can i keep my hair straight???

Chemically straighten it and use the flat iron. Works really well. Deep moisturize your hair every week , that will keep it shining.

How can i keep my hair straight???

I have the same problem

dont wash your hair everyday, do it every other day.

DO NOT rub your hair with a towel it makes it frizzy, pat it dry then let it air dry.

Put a dimes worth of striaghtening cream in your hair (any brand will work).

once it's dry

use a heat protection spray, then use your straightener.

when your done use a tiny bit of hair spray %26amp; you should be good

this should really help

How can i keep my hair straight???

Do you use products to straighten your hair?

This is what I suggest. Go to a salon that carries TIGI's Bed Head products and purchase the Control Freak Serum, and the Control Freak Extra Extra Straight.

Fist, when your hair is damp, put in the serum and blow dry your hair with a large round brush.

Then, when your hair is entirely dry, take the Extra Extra Straight and spray it throughout your hair (its NOT a hair spray, its a straightening spray). Then you should use the flat iron. Once your hair is straight, finish it off with a smoothing balm. Redken makes an excellent one called Outshine.

These products are all salon brands so they will be pricier but its definitely worth it. The biggest hair mistake a woman can make is using a drugstore hair product. Plus, all these products are super concentrated so you dont need to use as much of them as you would a cheaper product.

This is sure to hold your hair smooth and straight throughout the day.

Good luck!! :-)

What do you do for extremely dry hair and split ends from a thermal straightner?

I got a thermal chi straightner put in my hair a month ago and I have a patch of 1/2 inch hair in one spot. it's like the straightner fried that section of my hair and I'm thinking it will look worse before better. any suggestions on how to fix this besides shaving my head?

What do you do for extremely dry hair and split ends from a thermal straightner?

Let your hair be naturally curly.

What do you do for extremely dry hair and split ends from a thermal straightner?

Try the CHI silk infusion treatment before heat styling.

What do you do for extremely dry hair and split ends from a thermal straightner?

really the only way to repair split ends is to cut them off

What do you do for extremely dry hair and split ends from a thermal straightner?

is this section at the crown of your head?? there is nothing you can do about whats snapped off you need to be very gentle with your hair from now on..get a good shampoo and conditioner from a salon not from pharmacy or supermarket they are not strong enough..get one for damaged broken hair and use a restructuring treatment once a week it is the only way it will prevent further damage. it will prob take avg or 6 months to get decent bit of lenght to broken hair.

What do you do for extremely dry hair and split ends from a thermal straightner?

If it's at the bottom you should probably cut it or you can hydrate that part of your hair by rubbing it with conditioner while in the shower.

What do you do for extremely dry hair and split ends from a thermal straightner?

theres not a whole lot you can do other than wait for the section to grow back out, but in the mean time to prevent further damage, use a mousse/cream/gel (depending on your own preference) that is made for use with heat styling. Redken makes a great mousse. go to any local full service salon (not SuperCuts or Fantastic Sam or any chain like these, they are not considered a real salon) and ask a stylist to help you choose the correct product for your hair type. also, you should be doing weekly protein treatments to add strength to your hair (redken makes a few, again, ask at any salon). wash your hair at night, towel dry, put on the treatment, comb it through and wrap towel around your hair, sleep with it on, in the morning rinse it out and style as usual.

What do you do for extremely dry hair and split ends from a thermal straightner?

The best thing to fix FRIED hair and split ends is to cut the damages part off. However, if you're iffy about cutting it off which I highly recommend you do, instead use 2 tablespoons olive oil %26amp; 2 TBS almond oil. Apply on ends especially on the one section, leave on if you can overnight with shower cap and wash in the morning. Repeat this for at least a month, you will definitely see improvement, but again, it's best to just cut that part off.

What do you do for extremely dry hair and split ends from a thermal straightner?

try soaking it in olive/hair oil

use this for quite a while as a conditioner

put it in before you wash your hair

it is best to leave it for 30mins to 1hr

but you can leave it in for less or more

hope this helps

What do you do for extremely dry hair and split ends from a thermal straightner?

im in exactly the same situation! my hair has fried all around the shortest layer of my hair :( the only true way to fix it is to cut it off :(:( sorry but i know. ive used every conditioner on the market and none of them work. the only other thing is (which i haven't tried yet) is to split an aloe vera leaf and pour the inside juice to the damaged area. hope this helps :D x

Chi vs. Sedu?

I'm looking to buy a new straightener. I recently went to the salon and she used a CHI straightener to style (curl) my hair and I loved the way it came out. I've been doing some research and have found that people think highly of Sedus as well. In your opinions, which one is the better one to buy (I need it ASAP) and why?

Chi vs. Sedu?

Sedu is the best thing that has ever happened to my hair. I have fine extremely curly hair, that frizzes up to a big afro with the first sign of humidity. It takes me over an hour to blow dry my hair straight. And I have to put all kinds of product in it. Then I have to do a hair wrap to keep it smooth. I have tried everything, including Thermal Reconditioning which worked great, until all my hair started to break and fall off. Every time I comed my hair, my bathroom floor looked like a rug. Not to mention, I still had to spend an hour blowdrying my hair. It just didn't frizz afterwards. After endind up with a third less hair and a bold spot in front of my head, it was clear I would not do that to my hair again.

With Sedu, my hair is perfectly straigh, with no frizz, and increadible shine. When I first got it, I had washed my hair 2 days before and had put it up on a braid. When I let my hair down it had dried up into this curly frizzy mess. I was able to make it pin straigh with very little effort, and best of all, whithout any blow-drying. It looked the same way as when I got the Bio-ionic treatment done. One thing, if it doesn't work for you, you might need to make the temperature hotter. I straighten all my hair out, when I realized I could make the iron hotter. That's when my hair turned into a dream come true. When my sister saw my hair, she told me, she wanted a Sedu for X-mas. I actually got mine a week ago. I took it on a 3 day trip to the keys (Florida)and had beautiful straight hair the whole time. I just did it again today, and was turning heads everywhere. I'm I glad I didn't get that $350 bio-ionic flat iron. Take it from the most critical people in the world (my sister and I) Sedu is awesome!!! get one. It is worth every penny and more.

The main difference between Sedu and CHI is: you can adjust temperature on Sedu, while the temp is fixed on CHI, it may fried your hair if your hair is thin.

Sedu is the best flat iron out there!

Chi vs. Sedu?

You can never go wrong with CHI

Chi vs. Sedu?

I have a Sedu and my friend has a Chi. My Sedu is still working while hers is broken.

Chi vs. Sedu?

Definitely Sedu. I first owned a Chi and absolutely fell in love with it. But after a year, or just under, it felt and smelled like the Chi was burning my hair. I'm not sure if it was because I had been using the Chi for a long time as it did not used to do this when I first used it. The one I had only had one heat setting. So after a while I couldn't stand the burning smell and purchased a Sedu. I loved how it had different heat settings and did not make that burning smell! My hair felt 10 times softer than it did when I used my Chi and did not make it obviously pin straight like the Chi did (which was what I wanted). The only regret I have is purchasing the 1 1/2" Sedu instead of the 1" because it's harder to reach my roots with the larger Sedu. Check out www.folica.ca for further reviews and picture testimonials.

Chi vs. Sedu?

Do NOT get CHI. my family went thru 5 CHI in 3 yrs. Chi breaks within a few months and you have to pay $35 plus shipping to get it fixed. Their warranty is worthless!

U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission just announced a recall of Chi flat irons due to fire and burn hazards:
