My question is complex. I have ALL My life had fine thin hair that is naturally curly (or, rather FRIZZY). Anyway, when it grew really long after my second child it was beautiful!! But, I started highlighting, straightening, and finally getting it cut to my ear length, and then, once it was so frizzy again and at the in between grow out stage, I had it chi permanently straightened, and it is now so fine and thinner with much breakage (to my shoulders though). HOW can I fix this breakage and get it back to good???? I take pictures of myself daily, can't be myself and just be happy again, and am SOOOOO depressed!!!
How do I fix my damaged hair???
You are describing a chemical meltdown of your hair. If its as bad as you say, forget about products to fix it. The very nature of fine, curly hair says that it can easily be overconditioned. Your hair is damaged already, and the reality is, it will take 1.5- 2 years to grow it back shoulder length. You would be better off cutting it to half the length that you have. This will get rid of at least half the damage and you can get it cut 1/2" or more every 8 weeks until all of the damage is gone. Hair grows 1/2" every month, so that means you will grow an inch in 8 weeks.
As fo ryour depression, there are so many things to be thankful for in this life. You mentioned you had children, what type of example are you setting for them? If you break down over something so trivial; hair that is dammaged because of your decision to overprocess it. It will definetely grow back with proper care. Its a new year comming, find something / someone else to spend your time thinking about. Good luck.

Clinique carries some sort of gel/smoother that calms down the frizzies! It smells GREAT (like the perfume Happy) it works wonders on my daughters hair!!! Unfortunately, you may have to grow it out completely to be fully satisfied! You may go to a Clinique counter and ask for a few samples...try it out, if you don't like it you aren't out any money!!
Also, use hair products that say something like "restore" on the bottle and use a weekely conditioner!!!
Good Luck!!!

Try to cut the damage ends of your hair and let it grow naturally without any products. Try not to wash your hair everyday, this damages hair. Wash your hair 4 times a week and don't put on any spray or gel, etc. Also, let it dry naturally, don't blow dry. hope this helps.
