I need tips. I am in desperate need of a straightener! i'm going to walmart to get one tomorrow. lets see it has to work on super thick hair and be under $30. Sorry for the expections i just want to get my money's worth. oh yeah please do not recomend investing in a chi thats $150 THANKS in advance.

Get a CONAIR straightener and keep it on the highest setting which is from 25-30. the CONAIR ones work wonders and you can get them at your local drug store(Rite Aid, Ekerds)

Remmington straightners are the best of the cheeper range.They heat to the same as GHDs and are half the price!!

you won't get a good quality flat iron from WalMart. go to a beauty supply store and you can get a better quality one for about $50.00. you get what you pat for and if you can't spend the money for a nice one don't expect good results with the hair style. from my personal experiance the cheeper ones left my hair all frizzy

tj maxx has really good hair straightners i got one there for 80 and its a titanium one and it works just as good as a chi sometimes u can get good ones there for real cheep. good luck = ]

well i wouldn't suggest going to walmart..nothing against that store but i would rather go to a Sallys Beauty Salon its a store that has beauty products. i got my straightener from there and you can get one for 30$ or maybe even less and I'm very sure there brands are alot better than Walmarts, and they have a more of a selection that you can pick from that would be the best straightener for your hair, so you would definitely will be getting your moneys worth.

Wet 2 Straights work very well and I know that they have them at Wal-Mart. They are also in your price range. One more suggestion do not get an one inch one cause it will take forever get a wider one. You will be thankful you did!

wet to straight they're pretty cheap. you can find them at walmart I've had mine for almost 3 years now and it works great I don't use it on wet hair though because it makes it frizzy but I have thick hair and I turn it all the way up to 30 and use it on dry hair (I also use some hair products so I don't get heat damage)

The one that I have works wonders and you don't get the straightening lines or burned ends. It's a little more pricey, but it's a hair-dryer with a brush type thing on it that straightens while you dry! It stays in all day and is suitable for all types of hair, and usually doesn't frizz or dry out the hair!
