Chi Solia, which is better?

Chi flat iron works for my hair, but it recently died. smoke and sparkle flew out, very scary. I am not going to get another Chi. I am considering Sedu, GHD, Solia, or maybe Hot Tools. Does Solia work as good as Chi?

Chi Solia, which is better?

Solia works great for me. Chi is not for me because my hair is thin and chi has no temperature control dial.

Use conair!

From what I've heard they are all really good (probably not something you want to hear). I personally have a Sedu and I love it. Just make sure the flat iron has ceramic plates.

My daughter and I have a Sedu and we are happy with it. It has a temperature control up to 450 degrees. I think we use the one inch and it works well with her long hair as well as my shorter hair. We have had it one year and have had no problems. No matter what brand you get, be careful with the cord. Seems like with these expensive brands, you have to really be careful with them.

My only complaint is that it does not have an auto shut off. As expensive as these things cost, it looks like that would be an automatic feature!

I highly recommend that you read the customer reviews for all the different brands on www.folica.com. This site also has good deals and warranties.

Chi Solia, which is better?

I got my Solia a few years back, it worked great for my hair (and my sister's hair too). Last August my sister went to a college in california, she took the Solia with her. Initially I wanted another Solia, but Jonna (my hair stylist) convinced me to get a Sedu. Like Jonna said, Sedu is the best.

Now they have 2008 model (Sedu Revolution) , i can't wait to try it!

As a stylist, I have used a lot of flat irons, including Sedu, HAI, Infrashine, Chi, Paul Mitchell, Solia, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss GHD, T3, Kenta etc.

In terms of performance:

The best ones are: Sedu, Kenta, Solia, Infrashine, GHD. These are top of the line professional brands

Above average: CHI, HAI, Paul Mitchell,

Average: T3, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss

Worst: Conair, Vidal Sassoon, Revlon, Bed Head etc. These are cheap consumer brands that you will find in drugstore. If you care about your hair, do NOT buy them.
