CHI Volumizing Iron?

I already own a Sedu straightener, but I am interested in knowing how a CHI volumizing iron actually volumizes your hair. If you own this iron, or you just understand how it works, then please explain it to me! Thanks.

P.S. Do not make comments about this iron if you do not own it or don't understand the way it works. I don't need answers that just tell me that they don't understand it either. That doesn't help me at all!!!!

CHI Volumizing Iron?

i actually just bought one yesterday at a store called trade secret from the birthday money i've recently got. i asked the lady who worked there, which straightening iron works best for curling hair, and she said the chi volumizing iron. i found it very easy to curl the hair in the front sections of my hair, but when if came to getting the back, it was pretty hard.

...but your talking about the actual "volumizing part", well for that to happen, with the bottom plate facing outward, take a strand at the base of the scalp, rotate and lift. Keeping the iron closed, pull outward. Pull down until you see you have the volume you want, use at roots or thru your whole hair.

if you dont understand what i'm saying, i found this site that better describes it. and like i said, i JUST got this iron, and soo far i've found it relatively easy, but its going to take a little getting use to

What do you think the maxiglide hair straightener or the sedu?

I had the HerStyler and i loved it, it was great for my long/very long frizz hair but it broke after a year so i got the maxiglide i heared bad and good reviews about it but i just ignored them and i got it anways i am now very disaponited i hate it, it tangles my hair it doesnt even change it and it make it smell like burned hair and i was thinking about the sedu it seems great i dont really no and i dont want to make the same mistake please help you can help me with those or recommened something different but no the chi.please help.

What do you think the maxiglide hair straightener or the sedu?

Chi's do not last long. Don't waste your money, and don't listen to the one's that are telling you it's the best. Sedu is one of the best straighteners out there and it is only $100.

To purcase a Sedu at the cheapest price, go to Folica.com , scroll to the very top and click on Hair Styling. On the left hand side, there will be and A - Z brand list. Find Sedu, click on it, and everything else from there is self - explanitory.

For more information on a Sedu, you can go to sedubeauty.com.

I would also recommend using a 1 inch instead of 1 1/2 inch, because the 1 1/2 doesn't do curls very well.

The Sedu is also a lot better than a GHD at a cheaper price.

Fredrik Fekkai and Nexxus make good heat protectants.

The MaxiGlide is a steam straightener and so it basically "cooks" your hair.

Sedu!

Hope I helped!

What do you think the maxiglide hair straightener or the sedu?

What kind of CHI flatiron is the best?

I know there are a few different kind of CHI's, and I was wondering which is supposed to be the best?

I know of the small pink one, and the small blue one?

Are those good?

I have medium length, thick hair with lots of layers.

What kind of CHI flatiron is the best?

hey! i work part time at a salon (that has chi and paul mitchell irons). I use the 1 inch pink chi and i love it! I have medium length thick hair w/ lots of layers too the Big chi doesn't straighten as well I think (and i've heard from lots of people)...also the blue nano pulls hair a lot more (don't ask why...I've had lots of stylist quit using the blue one). I would recommend the traditional 1 inch. :) The Paul Mitchell is also a good one too. Always remember use products too...chi shine infusion is wonderful to spritz (just a little) per section that your straightening!

What kind of CHI flatiron is the best?

i dont think that color matter but the CHI nano would probably be the best

http://www.folica.com/CHI_Nano_Cerami_d2...

What kind of CHI flatiron is the best?

That's what I am trying to figure out right now, but I hear that you have to look at the straightener, because they all have different heat settings (apparently, not sure about that) and they all are designed for specific hair types.

Sorry, that's all I got.

What kind of CHI flatiron is the best?

if you have thick hair then A CHI Nano would be best or a 2" or 2,4" straightener. A 1" is for thinner hair and the small ones are better with thin hair. The heat settings should be quite high for thick hair.(325)

Is there a chi staightener with a temperature control??

uhh i have no idea what a chi straightener is but get the conair infiniti straightener that thing is basically god!! i love it and it makes my hair gorgeous%26lt;3

Is there a chi staightener with a temperature control??

im not sure but no matter wut temp it is u can controle it by how fast u use it and how much hair u use at once i have one and it works grate

Is there a chi staightener with a temperature control??

YES! yes there is, I was just ebaying it actually. You can get a 2" Chi that has a variable control from 180-450 ... I am pretty damn definite about that. But is that the best iron you can get? Am still trying to figure out myself. Goodluck

Help for short, "poofy" hair?

My daughter has thick, wavy hair. She had it layered and now she says it is poofy and uncontrollable and even her Chi straightener isn't making it the way she likes it. She wants to have the layers cut out. Her hair is at the nape of her neck. I fear that cutting it to get the layers out will cause huge amounts of more drama over her hair being too "poofy". Would a hair cut help, or would it make life even more tearful than it already is? I can't take much more!

Help for short, "poofy" hair?

Buy a diffuser like Bedhead, use hot olive oil treatments, use triple moister from Neutrogena, and massage head with a wide tooth comb

hope I helped it worked for me

Help for short, "poofy" hair?

She should wash it, and then blow dry it or let it air dry either way. And then before using the flat iron, she needs to use some heat production stuff, chi sells a lot of these products. And this should do the trick, if not, go to a hairstylist.

My Chi straightener???

Does not cleaning my CHI Straightener changes the result of my hair straightening? Like. When I first used my chi. It stayed pin straight. Now it doesn't.

My Chi straightener???

As a stylist, I have used a lot of flat irons, including Sedu, HAI, Infrashine, Chi, Paul Mitchell, Solia, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss GHD, T3, Kenta etc.

In terms of performance:

The best ones are: Sedu, Kenta, Solia, Infrashine, GHD. These are top of the line professional brands

Above average: CHI, HAI, Paul Mitchell,

Average: T3, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss

Worst: Conair, Vidal Sassoon, Revlon etc. These are cheap consumer brands that you will find in drugstore. If you care about your hair, DO not buy them.

My Chi straightener???

How long have you had it? I've actually been looking up straighteners cause I'm thinking about buying a new one, and I haven't heard good things about them. I've read that they'll work really good when you first get them but that after awhile they stop working or short out or something.

My Chi straightener???

i dont think it does i think its just that youve used it for a while it doesnt straighten as well

My Chi straightener???

Possibly. Hair products and gunk might've baked onto the iron itself, whether it be ceramic or any other substance. Turn off your straighener, and make sure it is COMPLETELY cool, so it's normal to the touch. Take a cotton swab os nail polish remover, and make sure it does not leak inside, and then dry it off completely. Then, take a paper towel and soak it in water. Sqeeze the excess out, and wipe the iron clean. Let dry. Next time you use it, it should work out well.

My Chi straightener???

Do NOT get CHI. my family went thru 5 CHI in 3 yrs. Chi breaks within a few months and you have to pay $35 plus shipping to get it fixed. Their warranty is worthless!

U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission just announced a recall of Chi flat irons due to fire and burn hazards:

Good hair straigtheners?

the best styling iron there is in market today its the FHI runway series. This is top-notch quality. With is 6 layers of PURE ceramic, tourmaline technology and 3 different types of nano-technology no other iron can compare. The 6 layers of pure ceramic allows quicker heating and constant heat throughout the whole slate which equals to no cold spots and quicker drying and absolutely no damage at all. Tourmaline technology are semi-precious stones that allows to lock in moisture but repel humidity which means shiny and bouncier hair with longer results. The 3 different types of nano-technology allows to remove bacteria and toxins from hair. This means no peeling, or damage hair at all and healthy hair. And since there is damage, you can use it everyday without worrying. the swivel cord makes styling easier and this iron also have other options instead of straighting. You can also flip, twist and curl. Not only that, but you can style from wet to dry also. All in all the FHI runway series is the number one in the market. Used by celebrites and famous hair stylists no other iron can compare!!! trust me, I have course, curly, thick dry hair and I've never seen my hair so healthy and straight. I straighten my hair from wet to dry in about 40 minutes without problems.Although its a bit pricey (400$) its worth every single penny
