Ok, well I DO straighten my hair. I just need some help..
My hair is naturally very thick and curly. The curls just do not work.
But anyways, after I straighten my hair i put in some Garnier Leave in Conditioner to keep my hair from frizzing.
It usually looks fine when I leave in the morning, but by the end of the day, its frizzier and not as straight (the ends wave and stuff)
Does anybody have any recommendations as to what products I can use to keep my hair frizz-free and straight?
And if you can, please don't give me a list of like 10 different products you use simultaneously because I don't have time to use all of them.
Also... would you recommend a CHI sraightner or something else?
$120-ish or less please..
Thanks so much!
:]
For those of you who straighten your hair..?
I hear you! I have curly hair but i just can't seem to control them. I've been straightening my hair for 4 years now and have gone through a lot of straightners.
I reccomend using the Remington Wet to Straight hair iron. Try getting the broader one. Its easier to use, and takes less time.
Don't use leave in conditioner. Use the normal kind, you know the one that rinses out. Basically when you get out if the shower your hair should feel soft and smooth. Towel dry you hair and then put on a product that protects your hair from the heat. Check out loreal. It has some awesome products
Now straighten your hair and your hair should stay smooth all day!

I blow dry my hair with a roller brush and then use a big barrel curling iron on the ends only. Then I run just a drop of pantene hair serum through my hair and put just a little more on the ends in the front..

Don't use a conditioner AFTER you straighten. That's...stupid. Use it before, then straighten, then top with some sort of anti humidity hairspray like Aussie. I have a Maxi Glide, only 90 bucks at Bed Bath and Beyond, it works better than the CHI (I know, because I had two). It detangles and straightens and makes my hair bouncier than it's ever been, and I have the thickest, curliest, driest hair you've ever seen, but it literally feels like silk after I use it. I reccomend that if nothing else.

I use this on dry hair. It's a Wet 2 Straight.
My hair is straight all day. I bring my straightener to school just in case my hair gets wet or rained on.

Straightener... OMG it works great, and since you can do it while it's wet, it locks all the moisture out and keeps your hair straight w/out frizz... I also use Paul Mitchelle's keep it straight serum. It's about $20 but will last you. I have hair to my waste line and only use about a dime size on the ends of my hair after it's dried! Good luck! BTW got the straightener at Walgreens, think I paid $30! LOVE IT!

I don't have that problem, but maybe you could use some creams to put in your hair after you dry it (and before you straighten it) to make it shine. Those creams tend to weigh your hair down a bit more too, and that might help to keep it straight.

well before you straighten your hair do your blowdry it?? if you dont then thats what you need to do. make sure your hair is damp and blowdry your hair THEN straighten it. thats the right way to do it. especially for people with thick and curly hair like yours. my hair isnt but my bestfriend has REALLY curly hair and thats what she does and it come out great. and for frizz you should try frizz-ease. a little bottle is about 8 dollars and it works pretty good. and a good straightner is bed head. its professional and is about 80-90 dollars.yur welcome!bye! =]
