How can i stop my straightened hair from becoming wavy/ flipping?
i used to have this problem myself, that was until i invested in a pair of ghd's!! i have very thick, wild hair and nothing seemed to control it, so i was advised to buy some new straighteners and i went for the ghds,
all i have to do every morning is straighten and wax and I'm good to go. i wouldn't see my life with out them now. there a bit pricey but they are worth there weight in gold.
so my advice to you is buy them and say goodbye to bad hair days!!

It's not the wind that makes it curl sweetie, it's the humidy. There must be more moisture in the air where you moved to. I have the same problem myself and I haven't really found anything that works completely. Shampoos designed to make your hair straight help. I know herbal esscences has one that combats humidity. Also any straightening balm should help with that. I would go into a salona nd ask a stylist they always have good products for that. Just play around with a few things and see what works best for you. Hope you find something!

I have the same type of hair, and I know how frustruating it is to keep it from getting unruly. Instead of straightening it alot every now and then try just scrunching in a mousse and some shine spray. I have found that my curls stay in place and look healthy all day.
Either way you choose to style your hair, make sure to find products with "anti-humidity" AND "anti-frizz" as it's main claims. I think humidity is probably causing the wavyness to come back after you so carefully straighten it.
I like Pantene, L'oreal and Aussie on the cheap end- otherwise go to any salon in your area, and ask them what they'd recommend for your dilemna.
Good luck!
