I have curly hair and I straighten it everyday with a chi iron. I colored my hair with high-lights (proffesionally). My hair feels burnt on the ends and I can't even wear my bangs down because the are frizzy now. I called my stylist today and they are going to do an emergency treatment on it and will continue once a week for the next four weeks. My wedding is in four weeks, do you think it will be a little healthier by then. Has this ever happened to you?
I can't cut it because I just got a trim and my hair is already short, I don't want it any shorter for the wedding!!

Your hair sounds like mine used to be. I figured out this trick, I take half olive oil, half honey, and I heat it up in the microwave (just warm NOT hot) I soak my hair with it and wrap it up in a towel for like an hour on the weekends. It works wonders, I'm not even playin.
And I agree with the girl a couple spaces above me, don't do anything damaging to your hair until the wedding. Only shampoo it like 3 times a week.

Shave your skull and wear an expensive wig for the wedding.

I straighten my hair everyday as well. Do you use some sort of iron spray or gel?? That helps me to not have so much damage. It just protects your hair and its not that expensive. With the treatments you are getting, you should be just fine for your wedding! Hope that helps and have fun at your wedding!!!!

when you lighten hair, you are really stripping it of the color, which damages the hair. every time i get my hair highlighted it feels like straw. i have never had any special treatments though so i don't know how they work.
good luck with your wedding though. i am sure your hair will look beautiful!

i wouldn't straighten it with a chi or any flat iron, because it damages your hair a loottt! use a good conditioner. and in a matter of four weeks, it should be better

Go to a salon and get it deep conditioned also you should be putting some sort of thermal spray or something to protect your hair when your using heat on it.

Well i used to do the same thing ... with my hair. but i thinnk you should lay off of the straight look until your wedding because your hair will be so much healthier .. in the meanwhile you can always scruch it it only takes 5 minutes rather than straightening which takes me an hour. congrats with the wedding hope your hair does good

This has never happened to me. But i think that it will be ready for the wedding. Don't get all stressed out, just let your hair be. Don't straighten it anymore, because that is what is really causing you hair to be damaged like this. Just let your hair be natural for these upcoming weeks and you will see that it will be healthy for the wedding.

i think it will be healthier by your wedding. if you do an up-do for your wedding it probably won't be as noticeable if it is still frizzy but hopefully it will look perfect on your big day!!!
good luck with everything :)

Im sure if you keep up with the treatments and stop straightening your hair it will be better for your wedding. The heat damages your hair so if you can dont blow dry it or anything for the next few weeks.

The best conditioner your hair can need is right there, among your foodstuffs. All you need to do is mix equal portions of honey and olive oil, and massage into your scalp. Remember, this is not an after shampoo conditioner, so no rubbing into strands of hair. Instead, this is the conditioner which is nutritious for the roots of your hair. So rub it into the hair base. Then wrap your head with a warm towel for about thirty minutes. Use your mildest shampoo now and you will notice that your hair doesn閳ユ獩 come away squeaky clean as if someone has taken away life from it, instead it sits heavy and luxuriant on your head. That閳ユ獨 nutrition, not cosmetics!!!
If your hair is dry and flaky, rub in four or five teaspoons of mayonnaise into your scalp and leave it on for half an hour before shampooing. Remember, mayo contains oil, egg and mustard powder, just the right recipe for imparting wholesome moisture to dead looking hair. As an after shampoo, rinse with about half a teaspoon of honey in about a liter (4 mugs) of water. Don閳ユ獩 wash away this last rinse, and it acts as an excellent conditioner for dry, dull hair.
Use conditioners that contain Humectants Another great alternative to traditional conditioners is the use of Mayo. Mayonnaise makes a great conditioner for dry hair; leave on for 5 minutes to an hour before washing it out. When rinsing conditioners out of the hair, rinse with tepid to cool water, this will help the cuticle close and lock, giving maximum, longer lasting benefits. You will be fine and you do not worry about cutting your hair shorter. Happiness goes out to you for your wedding! Oh here is a fun wedding web site too, it has a diamond wedding dress worth over a million dollars on it!:-)

Your hair will definately be healthier by your wedding day especially if you sytlists gives you like deep conditioning treatments. That's what my hairdresser did when my hair was badly frayed at the ends due to constant flat ironing. Hope your wedding day is perfect^_^

Dont go out and buy anything expensive.
First: Purchase a mild Shampoo (To Clarify hair, I will explain why)
Second: TRIM your hair ends (May 1 1/2 to 2 inches) (Dont cut)
Third: Here's the magic part: Mix olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil, avocado oil and a "little" honey, (honey u will have to heat so it can blend). Either leave on ALL day or all night (if all nite, DONT use honey)
Repeat this 3-4 times a week, your hair will grow like a weed. I promise.
The clairifying shampoo will help take the oil off your hair when u shower
You can find olive oil anywere, but the other oils you will have to buy at a local organics store, wholes foods or BJ's health corner.
