I have a Chi Flat Iron , it's silver and it has the bling on the word Chi,

well its a swivel cord , and it only works if i put the cord in a certain place,

which i can't straighten my hair because when i lift my straightener it goes off again.

send it back to chi they have a very easy return policy there's probably a short in the cord... u should never wrap the cord around it even when its cool it shorts out the cord

that happened to me too...it was cause my wires got all messed up from when i would pack it with me for the weekend or something...i would wrap the chord tightly around the straightener and it messed it up...my friend rewired it for me and it worked again for a long time but now its falling apart again...
